Think JRS would be a very good signing. He hasn’t torn it up since leaving but he was quality for us. A former player of the year and as the cliche goes, sometimes a player and a club just work.13

I would assume that IF...IF that is JRS it'll be to do photos and/or contract signing etc. Medical would be done at the training ground.
Needs to have signed by 12(noon) today to be eligible for tomorrow.

Nice to have little daydream rather than hammering everything we are not doing as club

you must know how difficult it is by train from Crystal Palace especially when it is only a 11 mile drive!Pelling1993 said:
Don't respect any player that doesn't get the train to the ground tbh. Not respecting the heritage of our club.BetterCallSaul said:Parked right in front of the fire assembly point though. Poor health and safety awareness. Not sure I want him now with that level of carelessness tbh
25 minutes on the 75 bus I’ll have you know….. 😉

I know he’s not been particularly effective in his last couple of loans, but I still get get excited about JRS.If we can get him playing with confidence then him and TC on opposite wings could be really fun.7

We need another goal scorer 100%.
We nearly went down through lack of goals last season and we have less proven strikers at this level than when we ended last season with.
Hope I am wrong but with no Kelman for a while, Dykes gone (not everyone's cup of tea but certainly improved our chances of staying up), Godden superb but spent 50% of time with us injured we are keeping our fingers crossed that Leaburn improves hugely and maybe Mbick can step up. This is not good enough and we will struggle for goals again if this isn't addressed. Mark my words !2 -
I do not think anyone here would regard Fullah out on loan to a decent League One club as bad news.thenewbie said:
Maybe they want to "sandwich" it - Lloyd new contract (good news), Fullah out, another new contract/signing (good news).mendonca said:Funny enough, when I loaded the official club page on X, I'm sure I glimpsed a post about Fullah moving to MK Dons, which then vanished in a millisecond. I think the post has been written and is just awaiting publication.5 -
Is that car picture genuine or AI generated ?0

At this stage of his career, he probably needs a proper move rather than more loans. I think he’d kick on moving back to The Valley and making it home.Could this also be the player NJ referred to as ‘we know him well’ as in, former player?4

Sorry guys - it’s not JRS. The car belongs to someone involved with the women’s team

I think people have misconstrued NJ's comment about keeping the powder dry. I think he was saying we would have to wait for the right player to become available at the right time and price, rather than we we saving all of our money for a couple of big signings.cafc4life said:if it is Ogbene, comments about keeping out powder dry and spending money similar to last summer are laughable.
To give him credit, Gavin Carter was very open about this last night. He said that the transfer and wage budgets were considered separately, and our transfer spending for this year factored in instalments of transfers from last year . Any increase in the budget would have to come from increased revenues or outside investment, I.E. the owners are not willing to put in more money than they currently are each season. But it sounded like they was money still to be spent, as he said judge us in a couple of weeks.
I think anyone expecting some really large fees on the remaining players with be very disappointed and, imo, we are probably looking a couple of players at the £2-3m mark. With some of that funded by player sales (eg Kanu, Kaminski).6
