    HT: Charlton 0-1 Derby
Annoying there has been one moment where our Defence decided to cosplay as the Invisible Man
But its not exactly been a terrible performance from us so far

I actually thought we played some decent stuff that half.

Its just frustrating that you knew Derby were going to make us pay when they had there good patch.

We look about as likely to score as me in south London night spots back in the day …. Zero fucking chance
plenty of possession but a lack of class in the final third

HT  0-1, bit unlucky to go in losing, but second half coming up, kicking towards The Covered End

TC looking a real threat, although the decision to shoot when he should have crossed was criminal

Had some good moments in the last 15 mins but final decision making poor.

Coventry looks much more comfortable in this formation and is playing some nice passes, and forwards!

Carey and Godden off for me. Carey looks to be carrying on last season's form and we need more physical presence upfront.

TC looks so much better on the left but his decision making baffles me. Shoots when he should cross and crosses when he should shoot. I think we’ll at least get a draw out of this. I actually didn’t think that was bad. Just a crazy decision from Jones to go for that ball and leave us really isolated.

Apter on for Carey, Grant in the middle of the 3
Agreed. Or Leaburn on for Godden. It’s not working. We’re going to need a better centre forward this season I think but can’t see us getting one this month.

First 10 minutes we were ok. Last 15 minutes we have been good. The bit between did for us.

Coventry has looked really good I thought as well.

Just got to hope we can keep up those levels next half and get back into the game.

    A half of three periods.

First 15: both teams feeling each other out, Charlton slightly shade it with a couple of shots

Middle 15: Derby build the pressure and capitalise on Lloyd’s mistake with ruthlessness. 0-1

Last 15: Charlton have it all their way, moreso than Derby IMO but Derby hold firm and don’t make any mistakes to let us in behind

McNamara not the attacking/wide right back needed here. Bell equally not providing much movement down his flank either!

Koumiento up giving me Nabby Sarr vibes- either dominant in the air or running through treacle and a liability.

cov struggling next to chalobah - need a mwamba type runner, or ouma splaying passes.

If TC had an end product he'd be worth £5m+.

As it is he flatters to deceive.  Hrs tte ball & once he gets to the defender has no idea what to do. Can't cross with his left & when cuts onto his right his only thought is a shot.

I know I'm in the minority but I'd sell him & invest the money in a proper right winger.

And second half I'd sub him & play Apter instead. Then we'll have balance on both right & left.

Yeah pretty decent half, just conceded to a direct ball over the top where our defense was all at sea. We've gotten in some good positions. Decision making and final ball need to be better. TC looks so good on the left, just needs that little bit of extra quality. But once again, you see why the opposition mark him our as our danger man.

Good half from Coventry, kept the ball well and had a lovely defense splitting pass as well. Looks so much better as part of a double pivot rather than the lone holding midfielder. Chalobah grew into the game. Just need to get Godden a touch in the opposition box. Solid from Grant. Lovely volley from Danny Mac that was going in if it wasn't blocked.

Keep the faith, there's more to come from us here.

The modern phenomenon of the brain dead footballer. And I think if a player can’t make the right decision, no one will be able to change that.

Agree with others who aren’t liking Carey. Bloke is taking as many touches of the ball as the number on the back of his shirt every time he gets it. Kills our momentum.

Well it's not been a thrilling half - for either side. It's honestly been a very even game, bar the goal.
  • Too slow in build up despite possession.. Derby gave us a lesson on how to build up and score. TC was awful on the right and his body language says he knows he had a bad half

TC is one of the best at beating players at this level but his decision making is so poor
  • Apart from a "mad" 15 minutes when Derby were on top and scored, we were much the better team.

Moving Campbell to the left made us much more dangerous. If only his end product was better he
wouldn't be looking at a move to Preston but to the PL.

We can get something out of this.

Really hope we stop lumping it forward, what chance has Godden got of winning it?

We look much better with TC on the left.  Mannion needs some work on his distribution.
    We’re still in this.
