Half time refreshments (or lack of)
Really poor... wasn't all this supposed to be improved?
Family stand,
No water, no hot dogs, limited number of pies left.
I understand its not the staff running the kiosk fault but the excuse "more supporters then we expected " is a ridiculous excuse.
Not happy.

Doesn’t sound like the best hydration break.13

There was an ice cream van on the AC concourse doing a roaring trade.0

Until such time as we start serving beer in bottles the service will always be an issue. Give the beer in bottles and have one person taking the money then sales and service will go through the roof.

I bought the last bottle of water about half way through half time.
4 staff serving, only one of them able to work out how to use the card machine. 🤣0 -
No water to buy at half time was really shit in the Family Stand, but they do have a nice new vinyl overlay on the wall so it’s alright2

£8 pint of Peroni in East Stand 😢3

No hot dogs or burgers in the AC stand.0

What’s with the new policy of pouring drinks into a plastic up, bad enough when they took the cap away.0

Wonder if Gavin Carter will step in again like last season. It was clear from the online meeting this week that driving up match day revenue is essential, it sounds like from reading all the various comments on this thread and the Fans Bar that so much money is being left on the table unspent.FinlandMatt said:Really poor... wasn't all this supposed to be improved?

They talk about increased revenue but they are throwing away the opportunity.
I'm happy to spend money in the ground and do my part but the service and quantity of products has to be better.
This was around half way through half time as well, still plenty of people in the queue behind me.
Lots of people were complaining.
Do we have any fan advisors on here?6 -
Email the club lots not happy today.4

Food in the fan zone is pricey too - Cheeseburger is £11.95 & Chips are £5.00 - madness. I think the chicken van is similar pricing
inside the ground (west upper)
3 x Hot Dogs
1 x Beer
1 x Pepsi Max
1 x Tango
1 x Water = £39 😳5 -
It was so bad today. My pennys worth.
Fans Zone - arrived when it opened - 2 bottles of zero beer only available in fridge - they went and that was it the lad said !
Lower CE - my goodness the beer from the stall was awful "sorry we have run out of gas! "
Man in front of us fuming as his 5 year old wanted chips - new policy is you can't have chips on their own. She is tiny and he had to buy chicken stripes and chips and and throw the stripes away ! I think it cost him double. He said next time he will bring her snacks - more revenue lost.
Hottest driest Summer on record yet run out of water bottles in the lower CE too by half time.
We tried again today - but will now go back to last years decision and drink and eat outside ground.

I guess food / drink prices won’t be cheap if they are equally charging relatively high ticket prices.NorthStandUltra said:Food in the fan zone is pricey too - Cheeseburger is £11.95 & Chips are £5.00 - madness. I think the chicken van is similar pricing

Fan zone closed after match despite invitations from mic announcements to come back after match for an hour
club is leaving so much money on the table14 -
Was that related to the ambulance though?Siv_in_Norfolk said:Fan zone closed after match despite invitations from mic announcements to come back after match for an hour

Tbf all venue food and drink is extortionate these days. Unfortunately just seems the price of living these days1

service in north lower was a joke.. all pumps near us out.. and couldn't buy a chips on its own.. only 2 chips or with a burger.. useless!

Be interesting to see how the catering is at West Ham and Spurs.

There was some kind of issue with payments in the lower north. £7.90 for a pint of peroni - and you couldn’t even pay for it!0
-
Had a hot dog for the first time today and actually thought it was quite good0
-
Doctor charlton where you buy the hot dog?.3

I had the jerk chicken box in the fan zone, it was decent enough but took far too long to prepare and was £14.50…. Ridiculous pricing, what with the excruciating music being played by a 13 year old DJ, the tv above the meantime brewery unit was not switched on to watch the Bolton game, it then took 3-4 people running around for 10 minutes like headless chicken to get it sorted, they get this so wrong on every level.

OMG have you seen the food pictures on "Charlton’s No 1 Fans Group MANY MILES HAVE WE TRAVELLED" on FB? Not my pictures so won't post but have a look.0

I went there once but the music put me right off. As far as I could see hardly anyone was enjoying the music. Either don’t have it or have more than one genre played that includes music for all age groups.DA9 said:I had the jerk chicken box in the fan zone, it was decent enough but took far too long to prepare and was £14.50….
