I don’t understand the argument about whatever wage TK is on. I think a lot of the TK critics are going to be in for a shock when they see wage bills of teams throwing money about in this division.Chrispy51 said:

if you want to be successful and not just survive then you have to pay the going rate to get the players needed. The Championship has moved on significantly during our stay in League One.2 -
TK goes on loan then we get him on loan, balanced the books simple4

I think a lot of us do know this. The point is that TK has not lived up to reasonable expectations, particularly commanding his area. I didnt ever criticise him on here myself, but I never had a good feeling about him. And when I watched him against Reading I got the feeling he is not interested in improving.MartinCAFC said:

I think NJ has known for a while we could improve there but it wasn’t the priority area, in part because there are lots of moving parts. If NJ hadn’t already thought TK’s performances were poor I think he’d be public ally trying to convince him to stayPragueAddick said:

I’d much prefer Okonkwo on a loan than a permanent. If he is on a reported 20k a week we’d probably be able to lowball Wrexham in terms of % of wages covered where’d we have to minimum match that to get him permanently.3

We need 4 wingers for 2 positions so there was definitely a need for Alli, and signing a RW would potentially allow Apter to go on loan.Crispywood said:

Chalobah, Cov, Doc, JRC, Carey, Knibbs and Ouma is where we have one player too many, especially when you add Mwamba in to the mix.

Think it's more likely a CM goes than Apter. Would be New RW/Apter for that side and then TC/Grant/Alli off the other which is what Nathan has talked about wanting.
Probably a Doc/JRC coin flip for who goes and despite his cameo yesterday I'd expect it to be JRC.3 -
The fact that Jones used JRC ahead of Knibbs yesterday suggests he’s unlikely to go. Just can’t see Apter going anywhere at this point. We’ve just started playing a formation to suit him. They will want to see him playing in that position.13

I think Grant may quite often be seen as a central option in that three. Carey probably needs to sharpen up a bit based on yesterdays game so it’s a good option to have.22

I think he probably was a TC replacement and then TC (hopefully) decided he wants to stay. He has also played WB so could do the TC attacking WB role if needed and can play on both wings. It’s hard to see Apter getting game time ahead of him thoughkillerandflash said:

There’s been plenty of transfer speculation about TC and he’s still to sign a contract. Could the club afford not to have a ready made and available player in the building who will also contribute in his own right should an offer come in on transfer deadline for TC that we couldn’t refuse. Watched a 15 minute Sky clip yesterday, Wrexham game 2025/2026 season. Okonkwo played & had a stinker & was at fault for a goal.
