Cardiff look poor.  Can't believe the bookies don't have them as relegation favourites.

No reason why we can't finish 20th or above.

Wrexhams transfer business just seems so weird. Running it back in effect when most of your midfield including their new signing Whiteman are around 30. Think it's a coin flip between Kabore and Imray and Sunderland have fleeced them for Patterson.

If they start badly the job for life comments will start to come under pressure.

Only from the fans that have signed up because of Disney. Pretty sure the long serving fans will still be behind Parky because of where he's gotten them.

Unfortunately money talks and those plastic fans and the Hollywood connection might do it in for him. I dread to think who they'd get in next, probably see themselves getting Pochettino or something like that.

This ^ properly dislikeable guy. The PR job having unlimited budget has done on him is spectacular.

Won't forgive how abysmal that relegation with us was.

I think he’s got slightly caught up in the Billy Big Bollocksness of the whole Wrexham show.

They’ll dump him like a shot if results start turning sour. And wouldn’t we all hate that?!

I can only speak as I find but Parky was a very likeable man whilst with us. Don’t really get the hate, our club was an absolute shit show at that time and it wasn’t down to him.
Anyhoo, Cardiff bestie was bouncing after that last minute goal, said the atmosphere was the best it’s been in years.
    Delighted for her.

Parky seems like a nice enough bloke, and sometimes it works at a club, or not in our case. Always felt he was a square peg in a round hole when he was our manager.

He's done well at Wrexham, maybe it has gone to his head I don't know, I'll be honest I don't really listen out for other managers unless I have to. I think it's reached the stage that the who circus around that club has tainted anything associated with them and I find myself disliking things just because they're Wrexham.

Kind of natural that we are looking at 3 teams that we can finish above (considering last season) hopefully we can avoid being in a relegation scrap and look upwards instead...time will tell.

Genuinely intrigued to.find out what people find dislikeable about Parkinson since he left us - he always seems alright and just pretty middle of the road/inoffensive to me, he's hardly a Pardew type.

He’s a bit of a grump and a bad loser but most football managers are!

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't he given a trial period/caretaker manager where he didn't win a single game but still got the job?

Thought so caretaker for eight games....no wins. (according to Wiki).

Parky should never have been given the job after the Championship caretaker period, but presumably was given it as he was the cheapest option. That second relegation killed us as a club.

Parky did do a good job in L1 though, nearly getting us straight back up, then keeping a poor side competitive the next season.

Then went on to have an excellent lower league career, especially at Bradford.

Because my Son was at the same school as Freddie Woodman, his Dad Andy who was the CAFC keeper coach arranged for me, the lad and my Brothers to go in the changing room at 1.40.on a Saturday.
We had such a poor side back then but Phil Parkinson came across as a laid back young manager on that day. He is a lot more animated now not unlike our Nathan at times.

Andy Woodman was about 4 stone lighter then and has had 2 promotions at Bromley as manager since being the main man.

Being connected with Wrexham PP will get the usual clichés being thrown at him but 3 Promotions with mainly going down the senior striker on short contracts other than Mullins when he dropped 2 levels on better wages than Cambridge to show his goal scoring ability.
Mullins did his job over a few seasons and then they bought better with various forwards coming in.

Sam Smith is normally the dogs testicles against CAFC especially at the Racecourse ground.

Murray told an audience ( that included myself) that he thought Parky was a better manager than Curbs, about a week after making his appointment permanent.

I can see someone like Scott Parker ending up at Wrexham
