I'm Phase 5 and would be fairly confident that it will get that far if I was intending to go.
The only Phase that looks a bit iffy to me is Phase 7 - VG only giving priority over a ST holder for the last two years. I doubt it will get to Phase 8.

No system is perfect though, but perhaps as suggested already only two tickets per person if one is an under 18, otherwise just one ticket.
I see no way Bob that it doesn’t reach Phase 7. I just don’t think we have got 2,844 fans with 550 points (2*ST+early renewal + 4 aways) and every single one of them taking 2 tickets.

Just doesn’t seem realistic to me. I don’t think there’s been a single game (bar the uniqueness of Cray Valley) where a ticket sale hasn’t included the OR VG level
I agree. It's phase 8 that it won't reach - i.e. supporters who have been ST holders for the last two years.

There are 3,000 VG members - and those that don't qualify for an earlier phase will be able to get 2 tickets at Phase 7 even if they have never been to a single game.

OK staunch defenders of the scheme defend the 2 tickets per person?.

this is literally the only forum of a club where you arent allowed to have an opinion without some pompous reply.
It's the same if you post  your opinion about anything on here.
You mean people discuss their own opinions, on a discussion forum? Madness
it was the cocky replies from people that wouldn't have the stones to say it to your face i was aiming the comment at.
  • This problem of not enough tickets for all the fans that want to go. Long may it continue for as many of our away games as we can make it so.

I’ll defend 2 per person, as I did earlier, which is, 1) it makes away tickets easier for parents, you get certainty that your child will be with you, 2) the ticketing system does a terrible job of allocating points to kids 3) I think it’s probably pretty marginal in terms of sales, before it gets to the VG free for all stage

Help please - is there a way I can tell that my Valley Gold membership is linked to my online tickets account?
There is no easy way of checking on the ticketing website, if in doubt i would contact Valley Gold

    or contact the ticket office

    tickets@cafc.co.uk or call 03330 14 44 44.
Best to go straight to the TO, as when I contacted VG, they passed it on to the TO.

Another thing that I think is wrong is, my son bought 2 away tickets for Coventry last season, I was 20 points less than him and the phase he could purchase tickets at so he couldn't allocate mine, got in touch with the ticket office during the week after the game to get the ticket and points allocated and was told I wouldn't get the points as it didn't reach my phase before selling out.

As an aside, if you’ve VG I’ve no doubt it will get to phase 7. I think they deliberately pitch the phases where they know OR VG has the opportunity to buy, to protect the point around giving some away ticket benefit.

I think a few people are forgetting we’ve 2,700 extra than the West Ham allocation, and not everyone will fancy battling the shit public transport or parking hassle on a Midweek night
first thing my dad said when I asked if he would go with me... "f*** that on a Wednesday night"

Isn’t the allocation of points to kids the same as to adults ?

Which is where it's wrong IMO. Giving VG, on it's own, priority over someone who goes to games, however irregularly, seems unfair. VG should be used as a point of difference for fans with equal loyalty points.

I go to the NFL games every year and the public transport isn’t actually that bad. The best route I’ve found if you’re heading back into London is just going straight to White Heart Lane Overground and getting in the queue. When you first join it will look horrific but it moves quickly and you should be back at Liverpool St within 45 mins.

If people are complaining that an away game at another London club is too hard, imagine being a Plymouth or Carlisle supporter.

For most fans, Spurs away will still be easier to get to than 90% of the other away games in the country though.

I have 525 points but get my first go for 2 tickets due to valley gold instead on Thursday morning at stage 7 if still available.
My sons details show up on my account as I pay for his season ticket and it shows me his loyalty points (515) does that mean I can order 2 tickets on his ID if it gets to stage 8 at 2pm, he's 13 and doesn't have a login, and if so, how?

This is exactly my situation, I’m thinking I’ll only be able to get 2 given only 1 VG

Only lower tier on sale at moment and doesn’t look like any more than a couple of hundred have gone in Phase 1

The phasing will never be perfect for everyone but I think the club generally get it about right - but the one thing I'd agree with is this. Surely someone who's renewed their ST continuously for 10, 20 or 30+ years (especially during the dross of L1) should have a level of priority over someone who, for example, has had 2 years as a ST holder now we're back in the Championship

They'll be a Mexican stand off now, where nobody buys tickets to wait for the middle tier tickets to go on sale. Then they don't go on sale due to not enough tickets being sold and the away end will be empty except for one bloke who had 10 loyalty points.

Bet the club don't have the records for who had a ST 20 years ago, I know the museum have older registers

You can allocate without the need for anyone else logging in. Obviously you have no idea how the system works.

This............an extra 5 points initially incrementally that dont get reset every 2-3 seasons

extra points for renewing per season

    1-3 (seasons)  = 5 points per season
    4-6 = 10 points
    7-9 = 15 points
    10-12 = 20 points
    13-15 = 25 points
    16-20 = 30 points

    and so on

Thats per season added to your total because it shows real commitment

All this would do is change the bands and hurt kids chances of going. I would guess that most ST holders who go to away games are fairly long standing anyway and so would also get all those points. You'd have an extra 30 points but so would loads of other people meaning it realistically makes little difference

One day the club will realise that if they are only selling away tickets on a block by block basis and doing so from the front to start with then they need to set the phase one points qualification a lot lower. All they are doing is pushing the bulk of the sales back a few days which could cause them potential logistical issues

I just believe that renewing your season ticket over a sustained period regardless of what division we play in should entitle you to more points
