Hopefully means no more titles until 2030.0
-
Also means Russell is probably safe for a while1
-
Was never any open moves for Max , Lewis probably has another 2 seasons in the tank and then it's Bearman time, McLaren have no reason to disrupt the Norris/Piastri lineup and Toto just loves to play games in the media .1
-
The problem for any driver changing teams is deciding which team will be top in the next five years or so. Red Bull are a big team and have a chance of being so. They may not of course but Max is also clear number one in that team.0
-
Amateurish from Verstappen to dip a wheel on the painted line in those conditions3
-
Oh dear never mind.
Bit of a miracle it wasn’t an almighty multi car crash given the way he criss crossed the track.0 -
Couple of crazy replays from the other drivers, especially from Hulkenberg not to T-Bone BortoletoGlad everyone is okay, as that could have been nasty0
-
Now we know Max is fine and ok…. We can have a little giggle.
Not been the worst sporting weekend has it?!1 -
So at the restart is antonelli in 2nd? Its dry here in Zandvoort now, no more rain forecast for the race, that was it for the day just before the race. Processional but for tyres from here probably0
-
Ferrari really don’t help themselves at times do they2

Quite an entertaining race in the end that one... Great race from Lando1
-
Way better race than expected0
-
Bit shameful from Mercedes to swap Antonelli and Russell, can understand the latter being upset with thatNo way was Kimi catching Lando... and they basically hung George out to dry with the Ferrari's1
-
Lot more going on than I expected, the various different tyre strategies made a difference and shows what can be achieved when a 1 stop strategy isnt possible on the tyre selections provided.1
-
bit confused the Hard tyre didn't seem to last any longer than the soft or medium, so whats the point?0
-
Shame that's it for the Dutch GP....great circuit in a really good location, what are they replacing it with?

Could be worth watching the Hamilton Leclerc relationship from here on in. Leclerc cost Hamilton thitd place, possibly second yesterday racing him.blocking him when there was no need to. Also Leclerc placed himself from the start to cut in in front of Hamilton. Nothing wrong with it but you expect to treat your teammate differently as both cars could have gone out. I think it is a good time for Vasseur to have a meeting with both drivers letting them know what is acceptable.0

Leclerc is not a team player. Looks like he feels under threat from Lewis to me.MuttleyCAFC said:Could be worth watching the Hamilton Leclerc relationship from here on in. Lewis’ issue has always been he has a target on his head from teammates…. Who are more bothered about beating him than the overall race result2

Yes, but I thought Leclerc was above that. He is on a similar level to Lewis this season and had a bad spell with the car and some bad luck. We have seen that. He doesn't have to prove anything but his behaviour on Sunday IMO has shown a character flaw. His job is to beat all the drivers, not Hamilton. That he seems to be focusing on that latter suggests insecurities. Ferrari have reminded us of their flaws too. If Lewis is/was going to win the Championship it wouldn't be by many points and he has lost a few points thanks to the actions of the team already.DamoNorthStand said:Lewis’ issue has always been he has a target on his head from teammates…. Russell next surely? Mercedes can't keep on just doing 1yr deals?0
-
Be sensible to sign George through to 2030 like everyone else is and then see where the market is at then. It's not as if he's suddenly going to fancy going to Aston.sam3110 said:MarcusH26 said:Russell next surely? Mercedes can't keep on just doing 1yr deals?
Especially with no real talent around for at least another 2/3 years1 -
Fascinated by Landos new project LN4 Fusion. I know he's got investors and some of the top junior formula staff that built Prema into a superpower but to go out there and decide " I'm going to build a racing team that goes all the way from Karting to F2 " whilst also recognising the financial backing he had and putting together a fund for young drivers alongside this is really really clever.
@ForeverAddickted - AIX won't be a load of random pay drivers you have to Google anymore

This is interesting, as read the other day that it was the Rosin family who'd left Prema who were going to take AIX's slot in F2 / F3 whilst building a new Italian team - I'm going to miss the brown and green colour scheme of AIX though, not that you really see it in F2, its one of my favourite liveries out thereAlthough looks like Rosin might actually be involved in this as well0

Rosin is racing director of this so basically running the show, teams going to be based out of Italy so essentially all they were doing was hiding it was Lando behind it all.ForeverAddickted said:This is interesting, as read the other day that it was the Rosin family who'd left Prema who were going to take AIX's slot in F2 / F3 whilst building a new Italian team - I'm going to miss the brown and green colour scheme of AIX though, not that you really see it in F2, its one of my favourite liveries out thereAlthough looks like Rosin might actually be involved in this as well1 -
Certainly prefer the name LN4 Fusion to Alphabet whatever was suggested... But guess that was also part of the red herring0

This should just be their livery full time4
