Not much point in having a budget if we deliberately exceed it.Grovenuts said:If we are a million say short for JRS why can't we take it from next year's budget as we did with Sichenje last season I believe
(I am an expert on this topic as I have exceeded my budget all my adult life and am now in the shit.)15 -
All this positivity is giving me hives.
Anyone want another fight?19 -
I’ll print the whole lot off for you and bring it round. Might want to get your coffee table reinforcedup_the_valley said:

His destiny ?cfgs said:JRS has stayed close to a number of our players, especially TC, he attended the last playoff final as a fan. He likes the club and those involved with it, he sounds like a sensible family lad and so may see us as a permanent home.
For those at SL, if Nathan's wearing his smoking jacket, it's a sign , I tell ya !0 -
If, IF JRS comes in, it means we would have JRS, Apter, Alli, Grant, and TC for two wing roles.
We've talked a lot about having one too many midfielders, to me we might also have one too many wingers (Knibbs and Carey have played out wide in the past as well). I wonder if Doc and JRS would stay, and Apter would be sent out on loan. Does that maths make sense? I'm assuming that Kanu, Asiimwe, and TK all go as well.0 -
Were it to happen, It would FEEL like this squad is too good to be struggling in this league with Nathan in charge, as long as it all clicks into place

Being in NZ, i have no chance of ever being ITK but it is of some comfort to have a panoramic view from my office window of commuter trains, freight trains, and the occasional steam train. From the same window i can see a couple of passenger ferries. And an assortment of buses regularly rumble past.
I don't mean to brag but look at the girth of those railway sidings in the background. (for the nature lovers there is a few rabbits living in among the greenery on the bank)

If Millwall or Palace fans ever get ahold of this, we’re finished.KiwiValley said:Being in NZ, i have no chance of ever being ITK but it is of some comfort to have a panoramic view from my office window of commuter trains, freight trains, and the occasional steam train. Not trying to piss on the fireworks but it’s not going to be “a couple of grand” it’s likely Burnley can offer probably double what we can. It might well be a mistake for him to go there but in the end it’ll come down to money.AberystwythAddick said:
Agreed, I think given the choice of leaving home for an extra couple of grand a week or staying where he’s from and playing every game, you’d like to think it’s a no brainerBraziliance said:Call me delusional, but I reckon if it's us or Burnley and the wage disparity isn't too wide, he will pick us.
Been fairly unsuccessful elsewhere, knows if he comes here he will be an almost guaranteed starter, stays near family, Tyreece is his best mate, friends with Kayne as well and I genuinely think he loved being here.
I reckon if we offer Palace a reasonable fee and we offer Jes decent Champ wages, he would sign.
Doesn't always come down to money. I've turned down opportunities to speak with employers who would pay me near double my current wage, because there are other considerations. All the money in the world wouldn't make me want to move to Burnley. Maybe JRS likes living in London, and after a couple of years away would prefer to rebuild in his home town with friends around him.
My guess, TC has already signed and we are waiting for a double announcement.
17th August. When that double announcement happens tomorrow do I become ITK.2 -

Hardly a problem. The answer is glaringly obvious on DDoublee's graphic.Scoham said:
I make that 26 over 21s, so we'd have to let one player on there go along with Doc.DDOUBLEE said:
Absolutely beautiful if JRS comes off. Yes, I know Bell can play LB, and that Mesik seems to be able to play anywhere in the back 4, and that Docherty might still be here and Knibbs/JRC aren't here instead but blimey, it's nice to have some depth!!!
I find our two-man midfield alarming. That formation only works with other clubs because they have at least one, and usually two, of the front four who can fall back and help with defending when necessary. I do not have much faith in any of our first-choice front four doing that effectively.
We will not be seeing many "0"s this season.0
