This is why people have to look beyond goals and assists as their only way of rating players. TC's and Leaburn's underlying numbers were strong last season. TC was among the top players in the league for big chances created and successful dribbles, and Leaburn in the 95th percentile for aerial duels won. If players keep being successful at that stuff time and time again, the goals and assists will eventually come. It added to the excitement, and stress, that West Ham had the opportunity to snatch a draw at the death and blew it! As much as a clean sheet would have been great, the match as it played out was just brilliant.cafc4life said:If Carlsberg did away days.

I've fallen victim to the modern fan mentality of wanting major improvements to the squad overnight, and I've been critical of this transfer window. But Nathan's squad building since joining us has been remarkable. What a fantastic day for everyone connected to this club.22

Was in the home stands, there were five of us, very near the away end - wanted to jump in at 90 mins. Took some great vids though!!

Have mixed views about the experience. Their fans sort of ok but passive, views awful, atmosphere meh, but there are good places close to the ground - we left via Hackney Wick and stopped for a beer which was nice.Thought Karlan Grant had a superb game - rarely wasted possession, direct threat on the counter. Okonkwo gave us a calmness.Think we fielded five academy graduates today (inc Grant) - proud of that.Really hope the club pushes on from here. Feels like we could possibly be clambering out of the 20 year tailspin.. at last27 -
Days like this, there or not, especially there make a lot of the Hartlepools, Scunthorpes, Fleetwoods, Chesterfields, Hulls, think of anywhere else we have not turned up to.

Hope the club got a photo of the Academy 5 pitch side after the game. Stick it up at the training ground where all the parents and young players can see it. I'll be straight, there will be a vlog for this, but, what should have been a celebration was a bit of a crap day for me.
I've been heckled by a total of 3 Charlton fans at games for vlogging. I've had one harass me for recording at the game (in the end he shut up when I confronted him), I've had one person repeatedly trying to disrupt my vlog and outside call me a c**t, to which I had to have a word (the lad apologised as you can imagine) and last season I had someone deliberately throw a pint on me, which I thought was an accident but when viewing footage back, saw the bloke blatantly aim it at me. Let it go cause I thought, football is full of twats.
Now today someone called me a pedophile and his reasoning was "because I capture young Charlton fans on vlogs". Now I didn't let it go, I spoke to him, but it got to a point where I just thought the only solution here feels like planting one on him.
I couldn't help but look at this guy, half my size and wondering what to do.
I walked away, but I have to say, it's the first time ever I have genuinely been rattled. Such a henious thing to be called and put a real downer on the vlog and day.
I expect to go to Millwall away etc and get grief, but I cannot fathom that someone who supports the same club as me would say something so sinister, and I am genuinely struggling to process it.41 -
