It’s a 1000 more than the league minimum.PrincessFiona said:
Only 3001 given for away fans seems a ridiculous small amount - isnt there, or shouldn't there be a fair minimum?soapboxsam said:Nuno said they let down 62 thousand West ham fans !
Wrong.
There were 3001 CAFC fans in the two sections of the away end plus at least 3001 Charlton fans scattered across the stadium.
Just like Greg Rutherford and his giant leap to win Gold in 2012, Charlton took a flying leap up the table on another Super Saturday.
22/8/26 was a beautiful day for all Addicks.0 -

I'd also missed this first time. Caught sight out the corner of my eye in real time, then no replay. He does get jostled well by the defender as he looks to get a shot off, and the keeper saves. It's the coverage specifically and generally that is objectionable, not JRC per se.fenaddick said:FYI @PragueAddick the JRC chance is here (granted not pro shot)

At the final whistle we are treated to grumpy WHU faces, and not the scenes of celebration. All TV coverage has done that over the years. It's as if the viewers must not be treated to scenes of mass jubilation/ ecstasy either deliberately or because the production team have no idea of the significance and do not give it the focus some of us look for.
And to add, this is why vlogs can be so popular. They can get amongst it and show the angles the mainstream cannot.3 -
Well, that’s helpful because it’s a completely different angle, from which I can see that he was forced quite wide and the keeper has taken up a good position. He did well to evade the defenders in the first place – which Brownie also conceded. I don’t like to have downers on individual players but in his case I just have never quite seen what he is consistently good at and therefore where he might fit in the team.fenaddick said:FYI @PragueAddick the JRC chance is here (granted not pro shot)

That was quite a day - ended up having a drink in the bar at Sadlers Wells ballet before the match, which was a first for me. Beers in Hackney Wick after, rip-roaring football in between. Happy days!1

As I stated earlier, West ham fans I came across were decent and none of this we're gonna romp the league nonsense, and both pre and post match, the only thing they said about being in the championship is no VAR.3

Deffo a penalty he turns to the side and his leading arm is sticking out and away from his body3

I have just watched on YouTube, a WHU- supporter blog, where all key incidents were slowed down and stopped at the key points. Cc's hand was extended at least a foot, maybe further, from his body. A clearer handball there couldn't be.Gisappointed said:I thought the ball struck the hand across Conor's chest not his outstretched arm, so surely not a pen? Also their goal looked offside, and Lloyd agreed.7 -
I do also think he was just knackered from running the ball up the length of the pitch. Which is fair, particularly given sprinting isn't exactly his main attribute.PragueAddick said:

Seems a decent bloke and by all accounts a really good performance from him yesterday, Perry Groves on Talksport commentary was certainly impressed.stoneroses19 said:Danny McNamara reflects on the Addicks' 2-1 victory over West Ham United at London Stadium2 -
And people think he should have done better with that? Wow. The way it’s been described I thought he was clean through on goal. He had two defenders on him, got pushed wide but managed to get a shot on target that the keeper saved. I thought he’d missed a sitter.fenaddick said:FYI @PragueAddick the JRC chance is here (granted not pro shot)

From what I gather the greater error, which NJ alluded to, was Carey should have slipped Miles in for an easy chance in the first half when we had a three on two break. Now that I would like to see.14 -

That is so embarrassing. If the WBA lad got a retrospective two game ban for trying to con the ref last week then Taty deserves that too, at least, but I assume because it was dealt with on the pitch that will be the end of it. Same old Argies, always cheating.robroy said:10 -
I think that’s more difficult against West Ham than some other championship sides though, as West Ham are most dangerous on the wings with Solomon and Bowen. Think that’s why we played so far back to ensure that when either of those players got the ball, our LB or RB also had immediate cover to help. With Man Utd, Bruno is going to be in the middle, so that’s why Hull set up in that way.soapboxsam said:I enjoy analysing a game with the emotions taken out and I'm sure this takes place most Mondays at Sparrows with the Analysts after a Saturday game.
Charlton definitely played too deep in the last 15 minutes or so and we had 9 players in the box when the handball occured. The chance of a deflection or a hand ball is increased. Also we were too deep on their goal and the bodies all in the way made it difficult for Arthur to see clearly.
I watched Hull city defend against Man Utd and they defended on the edge of their Penalty area and had the forwards and attacking midfielders just in front working their socks off forcing United to over pass.
Now obviously if Man Utd can get around the outside out wide that forces the defenders back but they hardly ever managed that. They were slow and predictable and Hull who conceded 66 goals in the Championship gave a defensive master class which was a surprise!
Great result for CAFC but we relied on the penalty miss for the win and I just wish we could defend on the edge of the area and not the six yard box as it just invites pressure (England/Argentina 🤦🏻♂️)
Fantastic 3 points but hard headed analysis is needed as another time we could snatch a draw from the Jaws of victory.
Just saying 👍🏻💪🏻It’s a learning curve for us anyway against tough opposition, I’m sure Nathan and the players learnt something from it, and hopefully we won’t have too many more of those high pressured last 15 minutes as that.4 -
Absolute crap stuff, and so blatant...the guy should get a retrospective red card and three match ban...robroy said:6 -

You do realise that they are mostly sharing links to others' content and therefore its not really possible to replatform someone else's video (or if it is I wouldn't know how to do it and imagine it's a massive pain in the arse)ross1 said:A shame fans put items on here via x.com, which I do not have and am not getting.
