I am one of those pissers who usualy cant get through a half without going....and it always amazes me how many people who are drinking on the concourse 20/25 minutes into the game. No idea why they go. and also when tickets are restricted like yesterday, they are denying other fans who would watch the game and support their team.
Further to one of your comments above i thought the stewarding was excellent yesterday, even dealing with a few morons who were spitting round us. But at Watford last year i must have shown the steward at the bottom of the staitcase i was using it a dozen times going in and out.
And as another poster added never have i been to a stadium where our team wasnt announced, though some of our fans booed when theirs was read out.1 -

There were 3001 CAFC fans in the two sections of the away end plus at least 3001 Charlton fans scattered across the stadium.
Just like Greg Rutherford and his giant leap to win Gold in 2012, Charlton took a flying leap up the table on another Super Saturday.

One of those days that will live long in the memory as for the ground wouldn’t be that fussed on going again.Walked around the houses to get in then you all mix going through the search bit as others have said, constant ticket checks then on 80 mins stewards starting clearing the stairs.A very open ground means policing is difficult, didn’t see any trouble yesterday Millwall playing there will be different.0

Great day all round. Well worth the victory, thought the home fans would’ve got their the players backs before they scored. At 2-1, I saw some home fans leaving, even when the pen was given. Had they scored that it would’ve been undeserved. Wasn’t surprised at only 4 minutes being added, as it’s 10 secs for a substitute now.
The OB will have their hands full when the spanners play there.3 -
Sitting in the home end for that was painful! Not celebrating the Penno miss was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do12

Fantastic result yesterday and still managed to get the train home on time.Outstanding performances everywhere. Most pleasing thing to see was how comfortable and quickly we played especially first half. Some of the one touch passes from Grant and Leaburns hold up play was a joy to watch when they were trying to press us.Also some of the touches by Dan Mc with players closing him down.Campbell proving people wrong but how good is it having 3 academy players up front starting and 2 coming on for their debut. Makes you even prouder to be a Charlton fan.UTFA17

They did announce our team along with theirs about 30 minutes before kick off, they only announced theirs when the teams were coming out.4

I was in the lower tier row d, and i thought the view was good, plenty of leg room, made standing comfortable, the away fans can generate a good noise, difficult to tell about home fans, as they were very quiet for the majority of the match.ns9 said:

The lower tier seating at both ends is temporary seating (probably paid for by the tax payer, but I'll leave that discussion to Prague!) which extends over the running track. Not quite as bad as I thought it might be but as has been said, it's not a football ground and never will be. Just a bit tatty in places, and you can still see that the idea was to dismantle half of it after the Olympics. The sound from the away end travelled pretty well, I didn't really detect a hardcore singing section of West Ham, maybe they weren't so bothered about us. Plenty of drinking room under the stand I was in, with all the food outside.
And one thing. I'm limited mobility, they have a service that runs buses from the Jubilee line platform, where's there's a small exit and staff car park, to the stadium. It's well-run and whilst I guess they have to do something, otherwise no chance of getting there, they have thought about it and the people running it were lovely.
No idea how they can police Millwall getting there, good luck.

I also haven’t seen anyone say much about this but Jesus Christ, the egress from that stadium (when you need to get to Stratford underground station) is an absolute abomination, nearly on a level with Wembley.1

My information comes from the various West Ham vloggers where almost every interviewee is border line hysterical. Poor old Big Dave on West Ham TV couldn't raise a smile from anyone - including himself. Boy we must've been good!0 -
