Alright clever bollox, would have assumed people would have got my point without being pedantic, will explain myself like I’m talking to five year olds in future👍Bedsaddick said:
Yeah because it all depends on the players weight as to when they are match fit . 😂Sword65pf said:
To be fair, I’d assume he is fit enough to take some part Saturday if needed,if signed, not like he’d need to shed a stone or two, it’s 2026 not 1980.DennisBooth said:If certain posters didn’t jump the gun on Rak Sakyi signing there wouldn’t be all the panic and stress. As of yesterday negotiations were still ongoing. We still have to the end of the window for him to sign. I don’t think he is fit enough to start on Saturday anyway.4 -
NJ will always say the “politically correct” things to the public but what is said/going on behind the scenes can often be quite different.Chunes said:I find it weird that Tash announces JRS is at the training ground, but in an interview given on the same day, NJ says we're no closer on that signing. He has spoken positively about Apter in interviews but the plans always been to get rid for example17 -

Tash and others have said JRS was at Sparrows lane yesterday. Now this might be hard to believe but Scarfy has gone missing and the Comms team were still working on the production of the video so Rak-Sakyi has to return today to sign in the latest block busting Video.
Anyone seen Scarfy ? Rumours that Lyndon Dykes had him last before he did a runner down the road and his video was aborted when terms couldn't be met.
Football transfers with agents and clubs are always a tad rocky until pen is on paper and a scrawl is made.0 -
Also heightens the risk of drowningRonnieMoore said:
Think the Met Office can be trusted to get it right .. they don’t do rumours as far as I know it’s been on this morning about it … and they now prolonged the warning till 10pm tomorrow so that will bugger the cricket at lords .. just saying could be a very wet night which heightens the risk of injury !!!FishCostaFortune said:
Well it’s interesting to see your weather rumours are just as fanciful as your transfer ones.RonnieMoore said:Severe weather warnings for London tonight … very heavy rain and flooding expected .. up to about 9pm … could be interesting0 -
NJ phones him at 11 minutes in, wonder if it's to find out about JRSCafc451 said:

I don't know the sequencing of these things but have always assumed it is 1. Agree terms with selling club and establish player willing to join subject to contract 2. Medical 3. Agree detailed terms with player.DDOUBLEE said:
It's not just posters though, at least 3 journalists with pretty decent social media followings have all said a deals been agreed and a medical was being done yesterdayDennisBooth said:If certain posters didn’t jump the gun on Rak Sakyi signing there wouldn’t be all the panic and stress. If that's right, we might still be at stage 3.0 -

He started 12 and came off the bench 9 timesSouthLincsAddick said:
I also think Ouma looks pretty raw. He only actually started 9 games in the Lech Poznań title winning season and he had the disciplinary problems too. NJ must have a plan but this area is not as solid as the rest.NabySarr said:
We’ve still got Ouma, but I think you’re right midfield is still a slight concern. Mainly because I don’t trust Costello that much, so you are relying on Chalobah staying fit, Ouma adapting quickly (and he will probably struggle with the intensity of the schedule so won’t be able to play every game) or Mwamba really stepping up.SouthLincsAddick said:It’s looking like a good window, much better than I expected. The only worry I have is midfield. Chalobah is the class player we need and has proven it in the first couple of games but he’s going to get injured at some point. Who’s next in line and will they be as effective, is this why there’s some talk of Holsgrove coming in?If we could shift Costello and bring in Holsgrove or another midfielder I’d then be very confident about the season

I fully get why JRS might not be included in Saturdays match squad. It would be reasonable to have him spend some time training with the squad but what I don’t get is why some are suggesting he’s not fit. Not heard he’s carrying an injury so he’s had a pre season and as I understand it had game time albeit pre season. A week with the squad and a couple of appearances from the bench sounds good to me.2

Plus we have Alli who while probably not as good can fill the same tactical role/position as JRS in the meantime so it's not like we NEED him to fill an otherwise missing part of the team - hes an upgrade but we have enough to make do while he's bought up to speed.ShootersHillGuru said:I fully get why JRS might not be included in Saturdays match squad. Two things - the club won’t like it being out there that he was at Sparrows Lane and second what Nathan said would only be meaningful if we knew what the starting position was. No closer compared to what?Chunes said:
Just weird... Not at all frustrating. I like JRS a lot but I'm not squirming on this transfer. It's just a very odd choice of words from NJ given the circumstances.mendonca said:
Weird or frustrating?Chunes said:I find it weird that Tash announces JRS is at the training ground, but in an interview given on the same day, NJ says we're no closer on that signing. We know NJ doesn't fancy transfer or injury talk until the picture is completely clear or finalised.
I don’t know if the deal will happen (or has happened). I do know that the Sky story was backed up at the Palace end.10 -
Christ, Jordan really is a grifter, botoxed up tosser15

no, he'll be in the away end having it largese9addick said:FishCostaFortune said:
Has any team ever announced a signing on the pitch at an away game?se9addick said:Sign JRS today, announce him to the crowd on the pitch tonight
If so it sounds like the cringiest thing ever.
May not have been a serious suggestion. But I think we should do it anyway.RonnieMoore said:

I know we all dislike Jordan because of his past affiliations and behaviour however, I do find myself agreeing with a lot of what he says about football in general.AberystwythAddick said:

Not necessary to dislike someone based on supporting a different football team. Thats a bit sad tbh.Covered_End_Lad said:
