Nope. Been a fan for over 28 years. We’ve obviously had some very dark days, however it’s been a very long time since there was this level of optimism around the place, only for it all to be pissed away in one evening. I think that’s why it hurts so much.stoneroses19 said:

I disagree . JRS signing will lift everyone around the club . Fair enough. Think it is overly dramatic comment to have made, even do agree our optimism has taken a hit tonight. But that’s being a fan, we could win the next two or three league games in a row, and the optimism is back.TheNotoriousBWP said:

The owners will have eyes and know we need a defender in now, I honestly feel like Nathan Jones is just being emotional and putting pressure on the owners to make the funds available rather than JRS deal actually being off, time will tell, but I think we can hold off the panic button until at least deadline day comes around, for what its worth we can definitely get by vs Preston with Mesik, Bell, Jones & McNamara as the back 4 & Chalobah in an emergency but wow the injuries are all stacking up and none of them seem to be short-term ones - Conor Coady where are you? Let’s be ‘avin you.1

Cawley would know if the JRS deal was done!! He thinks it won’t happen now, NJ also stated again JRS is a palace player and not a Charlton player! I think this is a non starter and things have happened in the background prior to tonight.2

It seems extremely reactionary to just cancel that entirely and blow that on a defender or two, especially when we don’t even know the full complete severity of Koumetio’s injury given that it’s only been a matter of hours since it happened.I really hope we’re given some more clarity on the matter tomorrow because I’m not sure I can deal with another week of this.1 -
Also in the canp of hoping Jones was just being emotional it wouldn’t be his first time either.
I posted a yesterday think it was that if JRS and Holsgrove had both ended up signing we probably wouldn’t need to do much business next summer maybe only a new GK in the first team so may not need so much budget in a year’s time.
Very wishful thinking but fingers crossed Billy has a scan and it doesn’t end up as bad as is being envisioned now. A bit like when Edwards was wiped out by Clare initial thoughts were season over but he was back about 6 weeks later. Lots of finger crossings it’s the hope that kills you.
