I genuinely wish it was about to be boring, but I think we are in for the most bonkers deadline day in god knows how long19

Agree. How distracting it is that have a match that night too? Think NJ might bite his nails down to the quick.Rossman92 said:I genuinely wish it was about to be boring, but I think we are in for the most bonkers deadline day in god knows how long3 -
I know what military time is. Is that interstellar time?CAFCBill said:6 -
Some of our fans would still want JR-S to sign if he had both legs amputated.JoshAddick said:Maybe I’m deluded and just in denial but still think JRS happens if he’s not moved by the end of the weekend.
His agent might be holding off for something better but surely he’d rather JRS move to us than not move at all.4 -
We don't have a player called Ooooops. Are you referring to Ouma?SoundAsa£ said:

Large we play Wednesday night but still a bit of a distraction.LargeAddick said:

There is no way the JRS transfer is being held up by a rogue agent. There is something more to this issue.
Also if the deal is dead, why aren't we connected with Shade or McCowatt?2 -

CB, RW and maybe a striker. Need to shift about 5/6 tooking addick said:
Personally didn't want to re-sign him for that reason but hard to ignore that pedigree he has.stjohnshill said:
Multiple weeks currently. This was the risk resigning him sadlyking addick said:
Could be that Godden is worse than anticipated.Bolderhumphreyreid said:Seeing as @stjohnshill told us earlier we’re possibly looking at getting a striker in is this because we now want to send Mbick out on loan again?
Personally I’d still keep Kanu as long as could convince him to sign a new contract although I know that won’t be easy.
Don't suppose you know for sure what positions have been made a priority given recent regulations?
Kaminski
Asiimwe
Apter
Doc
Knibbs?0 -
I reckon 2 more. I am sure we’re aiming for what St JH has mentioned, but with the way these things play out, we’ll end up with a cover CB and a RW
Can’t see anything other than a loan for Apter. Asiimwe could also be a loan. Doc will be let go for a small fee. Kaminski we will get some money for. Can’t call Kanu. The closer we get to the deadline, the more I think it will be a loan. Possibly Knibbs if we do secure 3. JRC stays on the basis we’d be short the fact he can operate at RB and CM, plus he’s got a few years left on his contract- I just can’t see him going. I’d even go so far as to say he may have a bit more of a role to play this season2 -
Kaminski
Kanu
Asiimwe
Apter
Doc
Knibbs
I didn't think that Knibbs and Apter would leave, but it seems that Fullah won't be fit in time to complete his loan move0 -
IF we do end up swinging and missing on JRS (that’s still and IF at the moment) a Burton player isn’t gonna do it. They need to come up with something big between now and Tuesday.
Sakamoto or Kasey McAteer would do it.
McAteer on a season loan (or a similar standard player) and JRS would be forgotten quite quickly.3 -
Except by TC... JRS would be forgotten quite quickly.2 -
Sell/Loan Kaminski, Asiimwe, Apter, Doc, KanuUnregister Sichenje (looks like ACL)
Loan out Fullah
Sign CB, Winger Job done1 -

Thanks, for some reason I had it in my head that the WBA game was Tuesday. I can enjoy transfer deadline day now with no distractions.MarcusH26 said:

And they will. Chalabah and Bell are a matter of time.mascot88 said:We move on -
Injuries will be crucial this year - we have a mid table first eleven that becomes bottom 6 if crucial players get injured.
Jones will be juggling again.
He desperately wants us to do well and will put pressure where he can to get us outcomes.1 -
We should have pursued this reallyThe Red Robin said:Stanley Mills has joined Preston, three-year deal.3 -

We have some very promising youngsters in the u21s and u18s but none of them are CBs.MarcusH26 said:
This is what I'm expecting to happen. I can't see us allowing ourselves to go into Saturday with Asiimwe and one of the U21 CBs as the cover on the bench defensively.2 -
I expect the delay in loaning out Fullah (to MKD) is linked to us being open to moving on Knibbs.Crispywood said:Sell/Loan Kaminski, Asiimwe, Apter, Doc, KanuUnregister Sichenje (looks like ACL)

If anyone snaps up Knibbs over the next few days then we would probably keep Fullah as back up for Carey.
JRC and Grant can also of course fill in on that AM position too when needed.1 -
Maybe we did but 1. it sounds like Preston have pretty much been the destination of choice from the outset so we didn't have much choice, 2. We were hoping to get JRS instead, a better optionWoolwichAddick said:

Dan Scarr available from Wrexham (last year of contract) and linked with Reading. Always impressed me when I’ve seen him play against us. Aggressive like Jones and Billy. Cheaper wages than Coady and Championship experience.8

I’m sure they’ll keep in touch .wolfgang said:

Well we've got about £5 mill burning a hole in our pockets and other teams know it. I just hope we spend wisely and well. No crocks and no L1 hopefuls......1

The sooner this window closes the better, then we can get back to talking about the weather 🌞⛈️…1

The location of where the player is playing isn’t a particularly important factor. We’ve had horrendous premier league loans and some of our best current players came from League one and two (Ramsay, Jones… etc) Shade has done well in last couple of years with Burton and will probably be playing in the championship by the end of this season. Not saying he’s the answer, but the fact he’s not a prem loan doesn’t bother me.DamoNorthStand said:IF we do end up swinging and missing on JRS (that’s still and IF at the moment) a Burton player isn’t gonna do it.
