To be fair they've actually got something right for once.DDOUBLEE said:Can we wait for a better source than "Football League World" before the wrist slitting commences please? He was a name given to me after the JRS deal collapsed but still appears he’s off to Stoke.10 -

Wait until he gets a bit of Sarf Lundun in him.

Mildly depressing that we were even targeting Ogbene.

There's a good chance their article is based on your words in this forum + guesswork2 -

You missed out Nathan Redmond 😉DamoNorthStand said:So my views on all the options for RW as they appear (until JRS goes somewhere else I will keep him in this list):
- McCowatt (probably the one I can imagine being steady and reliable based on nothing but gut feel - can imagine him being solid enough)
- JRS (still feels like he has the highest ceiling by far, would unite the fanbase, but would we be at risk of the second-time-around scenario where he ultimately disappoints?)
- Ogbene (the cheap option which feels like a stop gap - lack of fitness in recent years.... you fear we have been here many times before)
- Tyrese Shade (ironically can imagine him doing ok for us.... or whoever else he goes to in the champ. Seems to have good strength, pace and can certainly wrap his food around the ball when shooting to Martin Sandgaard levels).
Prem Loan or free agent (would prefer someone like Reiss Nelson to Ogbene - same scenario of a lack of recent game time, but Nelson would have a higher ceiling).
If JRS doesnt end up going anywhere on a perm due to these issues, then I would be more comfortable on a loan to see if he does indeed hit the heights we are hoping. But sure someone would take the punt - so in that case I would probably veer towards McCowatt.
OR EVEN BETTER.....
Prem free agent / loan AND get Holsgrove in.0 -
Thank god he is. Would be so underwhelmingstjohnshill said:

What if we haven’t had any interest in a permanent transfer, he will not be playing football for the rest of 2026.000__Jaaaaay__000 said:Cannot believe Daniel Kanu is leaving on loan, what a poor decision that is from the club unless he signs a new contractIf he scores goals before Christmas, we might get a fee for him in Jan1 -
Good info in the new Cawley article re: number of signings we're still looking for before window closes, and trhe first time we've seen mention on Bindon's name from Rich.14
-
I’ve seen him a few times and he didn’t impress me . I think we’ve probably dodged a bullet there but watch him score against us next Saturday now.stjohnshill said:

NJ's presser sounds like Koumetio and Burke's injuries aren't serious37
-
Feel doubly sorry for Collins now..... Koumetio doesnt sound like he is out for long.... and now he has Bindon ahead of him too. Never mind focussing on recovering, the first team XI must feel a long way away. Poor fella.10
-
NJ sounds a lot more chipper, 👍23
-
I mean I am not convinced we were especially interested at all. Probably we did at least put him on some sort of list as he is a winger who has played on the right in the Championship but given he seems close to going elsewhere we probably crossed that one off quickly.Chunes said:Mildly depressing that we were even targeting Ogbene.1 -
According to Jonesy's interview Koumetio's injury may not be as serious? Says it was "precautionary".12

NJ targeting 3 ins from the presser , so Bindon, RW and what else? Don't think it will be another CB as it sounds like Koumetio isn't too bad.6

Haha who knows. There’s certainly a few on X who read what I say then post it as their own “news”.YannTheMann said:stjohnshill said:

Bindon, McCowatt & Holsgrove. Hopefully they can make the step up in the Premier League next season15
-
I'm not so certain it will be McCowatt, he's a right-footed left winger isn't he?0

With Jones wanting 3 I reckon we might bring another forward in, and send Mbick on loan to league one.8
