So maybe let him get fit before judging if he’s up to it or not? Brighton bid good money for him, England called him up to youth. Maybe he’s really good and will be up to it?CafcSteve said:
He had a relatively long-term injury last season.NabySarr said:
I’m not sure any of us can make that judgement yet. Unless you watched a lot of him at Colchester last season but even then it’s hard to say if he’s ready or notCafcSteve said:Mbick isn’t up to The Championship yet.
Would be happy for him to go out on loan to L1 if it means getting a striker in.
You can’t judge him on 22 minutes of championship football from the bench and a game against Tottenham both being his first games back after no pre-season. Saying he isn’t up to it based of that tiny sample is silly
Jones will have a better idea of his level. Personally I think he stays and is involved plenty this season
Just think he could get some more confidence from having a successful League One loan spell. You might be right, but there’s no way you can definitively say it based on what we’ve seen so far0 -
Karim Benzema is a free agent. I couldn't see him displacing Leaburn though.16

And I think the "ins" are harder to sign due to the "outs" not leaving.
Just over 28 hours to go & we need to loan out or sell another 3 (if not 4) players.2 -

We HAVE to trim the squad down by 3 or 4 players, especially if we want to bring in a RW (let alone anyone else).
But it appears no one is leaving or is surplus to requirements.
Somethings gotta give...... and soon.0 -

Collins has a full rupture of his ACL, certainly won’t be registered in the 25 man squad as no chance he’s fit before January and probably won’t play again this season.27

With the number of transactions (7 on my count) we have to conclude within the next 28 hours, I think that old chestnut of "We were so close, but just failed to get it over the line" would be a lot more credible.DennisBooth said:Let me guess what happens tomorrow. Lots of people posting spurious rumours all day. Nothing happens, then the window closes. Statement comes out of the Club as follows. We tried to get in a couple of players but we couldn’t get them over the line in time. Lots of unrest on various forums. How close do you think I will be?0 -
I don't want to like this because this is the worst possible news for him. Absolutely rotten luck he's had with injury but we probably won't see him this season.Covered_End_Lad said:Collins has a full rupture of his ACL, certainly won’t be registered in the 25 man squad as no chance he’s fit before January and probably won’t play again this season.4 -

He’s barely even been given a chance in fairness. Would be very harsh to completely write someone off when they’ve not even been given 10 games in the championship, and they were likely brief sub appearances as well.AberystwythAddick said:

Not really surprised at the lack of interest in Apter, he didn't make any sort of positive impression at Bolton whatsoever.
Ins:
Jebbison
Rak-Sakyi
Outs:
Doc
Knibbs
Apter
Collins (deregistered)
I also think Asiimwe will be kept around. Think his second half at spurs out of position has caused a bit of a rethink with him2 -
I’m really gutted about this feel so sorry for the bloke. Stay strong Collins !!Covered_End_Lad said:Collins has a full rupture of his ACL, certainly won’t be registered in the 25 man squad as no chance he’s fit before January and probably won’t play again this season.8 -
An earlier poster opined that he felt the same vibes over this emerging team as he felt when Curbs team, with Mark Kinsella and Clive Mendonca, broke into the play offs against Sunderland (which I was at).
When the young Scotty Parker came back from his loan at Norwich, making his sensational appearance covering Kinsella, the fans acclaimed him then much like today’s fans seem to feel about Mwamba. An emerging class act.
I feel the same as the earlier poster. There’s a Chrysalis feel about this year’s squad. I’d love our young super fans to experience those Curbs like years again, with this team. COYR.
Ps. Please tell me what WIOSIS means?

Ok I keep reading about Carey not being up to it in the champ and have this to say:
I believe he’s very good at what he does. He’s more a second striker than a 10 and certainly not a creator. He has a great shot on him and he likes to pick the ball up in pockets and outside the box and get a shot off. Now, teams in this league worked out after Xmas last year that you get out to him and smother him quickly to nullify his time to shoot. If he could look up and lay the ball off well, he’d still be dangerous but he does play head down a lot, trying to wriggle himself out of trouble. He’s up to it in the champ. He’s just…limited at the minute in style. And with us possibly looking to evolve in terms of what we do with the ball, he may get less of a look in.6 -
Very sad news for Collins.5

This ties in with what I've heard too so quite possible. A real shame if it happens as I think he could have done a job for us.mart77 said:

Apter has played much more championship than DKD. Also the main reason he’s been written off is he couldn’t even get in a league 1 team last season. If he’d gone away and had a good loan then we’d all be calling for him to be given a chance, but he didn’tPringlesCurtains said:
