If some of you don’t think Carey is up to the champ, wait until you see this guy
He’s barely even been given a chance in fairness. Would be very harsh to completely write someone off when they’ve not even been given 10 games in the championship, and they were likely brief sub appearances as well.
I think a few of us have written off Apter for similar, if not less, games...
He was given a chance though, didn't impress at Bolton either

An earlier poster opined that he felt the same vibes over this emerging team as he felt when Curbs team, with Mark Kinsella and Clive Mendonca, broke into the play offs against Sunderland (which I was at).

When the young Scotty Parker came back from his loan at Norwich, making his sensational appearance covering Kinsella, the fans acclaimed him then much like today’s fans seem to feel about Mwamba. An emerging class act.

I feel the same as the earlier poster. There’s a Chrysalis feel about this year’s squad. I’d love our young super fans to experience those Curbs like years again, with this team. COYR.

Ps. Please tell me what WIOSIS means?

I love the optimism but the 98 team had bags of experience , serious quality and a proper goal scorer .  Maybe in 2-3 years we will get there - it took Curbs several seasons to create that team.

Holsgrove on the bench against Benfica tonight. Be interesting to see if he comes on.

Kanu remains under contract with the club until 2028, having signed an extension in the summer of 2025.”

Really pleased it's a loan and he can make more progress from last season. I, and obviously Charlton haven't given up on Daniel.

Hearing McCowatt might be off to a rival Championship club now as Charlton have "been dragging their heals".
A decent Danish journo thinks he’s about to have a medical with AGF
This ties in with what I've heard too so quite possible.  A real shame if it happens as I think he could have done a job for us.
one Kiwi in our team is an unfair advantage for us. Two would have been full on cheat code.

Is that confirmed as I know some of the usual websites in the past have had the wrong information when it comes to Estoril line ups.

If so he’s finally made his way back from London.

I really liked the look of Apter this time last year but the reality is, he’s been nowhere near that level since for us or Bolton. Nathan Jones will also see plenty of him in training too.

Mbick isn’t up to The Championship yet.

Would be happy for him to go out on loan to L1 if it means getting a striker in.
It does not. He is underage so does not help the squad numbers.

And I think the "ins" are harder to sign due to the "outs" not leaving.

Just over 28 hours to go & we need to loan out or sell another 3 (if not 4) players.
Bear in mind we don't have to sell them. They will just not be in the 25. Not ideal, but better than having to play with reserves that are just not up to it ( Apter,Knibbs etc)

I’ll get a back, sack and cracky if we end up still signing Jes Rak-Sayki.
This post has been noted and saved.

I may well be posting it again tomorrow.
As long as we don't get photographic evidence, i'll take him at his word ok...😖

If it really came to it, we could loan them out for free rather than have them here and not able to play. I’m sure we will be able to find moves for them though, even if we end up picking up the majority of the wages

Why is the rumour about Holsgrove still being kept alive when if it was true he didn't fancy the move to Charlton, the interest would've been extinguished by NJ straight away ?

Can see Scotland coming into play for a couple of them with a Thursday window close.

Burnley look like they are signing Ramazani on a permanent deal from Leeds. That might mean they are no longer an option for Rak-Sakyi?

If we need palace to drop their demands then that will happen tomorrow if they don’t have any other takers

Because he didn’t realise we were going to be pissing the league. Might have changed his mind now

I think apter has ability - he can go past a player and put a cross in that's for sure but i'd made my mind up after about 5 games last year that he wasn't going to cut it and we'd made a mistake - i'm of the same opinion about knibbs - just can't see him coming good - if we can/ have found other clubs for these 2 it will be a good result - both should be in league 1 - i think asimwe has looked useful and might be worth holding on to for now as cover - if we could also find another club for jrc that would be good but again, may be useful as cover for now. I'd like to keep Doc for now but doubt he will want to sit on bench at best so again, sure club will try and help him move. RW incoming is key to get over the line and if we need to not register somebody to do that, so be it - ruthless but...

I think Doc and possibly Knibbs or JRC out are more likely because they at least didn't have disastrous seasons last year. Apter will generate no interest because he was so poor at Bolton and his attitude doesn't look great. Asiimwe should attract loan interest at L1 or L2 level. We won't be registering Collins so if we're going to bring two in we'll need to shift 4 which feels unlikely. I can't imagine a scenario where we just don't register Apter and leave him to rot, surely there's a point where someone would take him on loan for nothing

From what I’ve been reading, Palace need to get its wage bill down to 70% of its overall revenue (currently 75%) and have to shift at least 3 players. Names I’ve seen mentioned as outs are David Ozoh, Justin Devenny and JRS. Come tomorrow, Palace will be desparate to offload JRS, we’ll either get him for a much lower price - which will reduce our risk - or a loan with an option to buy. Just my thoughts, mind and may be way off the mark

A loan with an option to buy would mean it was a 6 month (or whatever, 3 month) loan as he's out of contract in the summer. Either way, as you mention, reduced risk. But there has been a lot of talk about his representation being a mess (my words), and maybe there being an issue with the medical. I just don't know how you get around the representation issue if there's any confusion over who represents him. To me, it's either a short term loan (until Jan.) or nothing. I think any other scenario is complicated on JRS' end.
