There isn’t a Leicester player from the last two seasons their fans rate except Fatawu and Monga. But they’re not all bad footballers. I’m surprised we’ve gone for a cm but I suppose we are one injury to Coventry away from looking very light there.

May not even happen but I have no doubt playing in a more settled team on the up and a more settled club he will show some quality. You dont play 100 times in the prem if you're worse than Doc.

Can't ignore those appearances but also can't ignore the poor ones in the last two seasons. Obviously it won't have helped having the turmoil around him and having Harry Winks next to him a lot of the time but he was meant to be a senior leader in a dressing room that fell apart.

Nkeng seems to be coming on as an impact sub for Wimbledon at the moment and seeing as we have one of those already in Alli I can see him going back to them on loan for the season.

Putting 2+2 together it could be that with a reduced price for a certain JRS (I know we should just let it go) that we felt we could use a bit of the additional to sign this guy as one for the future.

Neither Kermorgant or Francis came off the back of a £25m transfer fee and ridiculously high wage demands, and also seemingly with attitude problems.

You’re missing the point entirely.

You see it time and time again with the higher earners in football that go into clubs. Not all of course, but a very large number.
We’ve started well as a team, there’s a great feeling around the club and in the changing room at the moment, and we don’t need an arrogant personality to come along and potentially unsettle that. If he had the ability of Pirlo then perhaps it would be a bit more worth the risk, but the Leicester fans that have watched him for 3 consecutive seasons think ability wise he is crap. Yes it’s an opinion but it’s totally an opinion worth valuing.

If it were all about wages or transfer fees, then why would a lot of us have been happy to see someone like Coady back? Because he is a leader and great personality to bring into the squad. He was vital in keeping us up last season and took to the club and fans like a duck to water. That makes paying his high wages totally justifiable.

Skipp has played in a side that’s been relegated two seasons in a row . That’s never happened to Doc. There has to be some balance in the comparison

We have Nathan Jones as manager. There is absolutely no chance that is happening, if Skipp joins then that means his attitude has the NJ seal of approval and that’s good enough for me. How many players have we signed under Jones that haven’t seemed like a top pro? Very few if any

Being a limited player holds you back more - i can see he might be an NJ / Docherty type player and a sensible addition but i'm not getting the fireworks going off like a big right wing signing would give - if the kid from Wimbledon and skipp is our business then i'm left feeling a bit flat although i'd still get behind them of course.

How do you know Skipp is arrogant, and is going to be a problem in the Dressing Room? - You're judging someone's personality purely on hearsay - If its not about wages / transfer fees, why did you bring up his £25m move in the first place? - Yes am sure we'd have been happy to see Coady back this summer, but lets not re-write history and pretend that the transfer wasn't viewed as a terrible one when it first got announced back in January

Relegation isn't down to one player though. Let's put Docherty into the Leicester side of the last 2 years, does he keep them up? I very much doubt it. The club is a mess from top to bottom.
