Summer Window 2026 - Rumours and Discussion (DEADLINE DAY from Page 814)

At the risk of sounding a bit precious, does anyone else think we shouldn't be posting other people's full names, phone numbers etc on a public forum. If I found out one of my mates had done this with my info I would absolutely lose itLTKapal said:My LC supporting mate said the following sounds like doc to me

"She's only copying the forums" etc. etc.

There could already be something lined up, of course.king addick said:If Doc doesnt leave then I imagine we could pay him off to leave, to get someone else over the line.
It just happens to be in Scotland.
The window doesn't shut until Thursday up there.1 -
I still think there's something in that MLS interest from earlier in the summer , window closes tomorrow evening over there so not one that has to happen tonight.SteveACS said:

Costello? If he’s dropped behind Mwamba in the pecking order and we are bringing in Skipp then I’m not sure there is a place for him. It’s either going to be Apter, Costello or Knibbsfenaddick said:
I don't think there's much interest in Apter though. Hypothetically, who else on that list goes? It has to Knibbs right?SDAddick said:
Suspect it's going to be Apter and Doc. I want Apter to work because he's a left footed RW which I definitely think we need. But it's hard not to get the impression that he just isn't going to cut it at this stage of his career.fenaddick said:

I think we need more outs than that to be able to sign Skipp/another thoughMarcusH26 said:So who else we expecting out? Just Doc now? Doesn't seem to be interest in anyone else
Okonkwo > Kaminski
Bindon > Sichenje
Kanu and Asiimwe gone but Nkeng doesn't need to be registered, so we're needing another out after Doc to register Skipp essentially?
GK: Okonkwo (loan), Mannion, Brooks (3)
Defenders: Ramsay, McNamara, Jones, Koumetio, Bindon (loan), Burke, Bell, Sichenje (unregistered), Mesík, Edwards, Asiimwe (10 9)
Midfielders: Chalobah, Coventry, Ouma (loan), Mwamba (U21), JRC, Doc, Knibbs, Fullah (U21), Carey (7)
Attackers: Apter, TC, Leaburn, Godden, Grant, Alli, Kelman, Mbick (U21), Kanu (8 7)
That means we're currently on 26 players. 2 to go before we can bring in anyone over 21
Costello could even be used in the Skipp deal if Leicester want a replacement. Would think Costello would fit a Russell Martin side quite well0 -
We are crowded in central midfield, although Knibbs brings goals which we don't have loads of in central midfield. Ouma, Cov, Chalboah, Skipp are all more destroyers than creators. It would leave us heavily reliant on Carey and JRC in that 10 role, whereas I could see us bringing Knibbs on when we're chasing the game even if it's just to be a "#10 poacher."fenaddick said:

But overall agree it's Knibbs or Apter. I just think it will be Apter. I suspect there's still interest in him from L1 or at very worse L2, but we'll see in the next few hours.0 -
Nailed on not to happen. The line will be that Leicester couldn't get a replacement but we also won't have let enough players go to register him anywayMarcusH26 said:
Wouldn't be that surprised if this doesn't end up happening if it's contingent on Leicester getting a replacement.fenaddick said:"She's only copying the forums" etc. etc.

Praying Leicester can't get a replacement! Skipp looked awful in that Burton highlights vid1

Hope the skipp talk is rubbish!!8

But JRC is ahead of Knibbs in the pecking order in Knibbs position. Agree JRC would be good for LeicesterNabySarr said:

For his sake, I'd rather Doc went somewhere less toxic than Leicester. He deserves better than that.se9addick said:Doc to Leicester, Skipp to Charlton!13 -
What happened to the rumblings of a striker coming in?
Felt that that was a strange one as Grant can play as a striker and you would still Knibbs/Carey.0 -

The paramount requirement is that you don't push beyond 'annoying twat', past the optional level of irritant that is 'combative wokelord' (my annoyance pinnacle, that I've since sensibly climbed down from), to the supreme nuisance that is 'aggro freak' - a good recent example being the estimable TheSE7 - because there's absolutely no way back from that. But if you want to be an annoying twat, own it, power through, and you'll be part of the furniture eventually xLeuth said:

I think JRC is safe to stay. He's started the season well. He and Mwamba are different types of players, Mwamba is a bit more all action, JRC is more creative/get on the ball make something happen. I agree with Fen, JRC seems to pretty clearly be ahead of Knibbs so to me it's either Knibbs or Apter. I think JRC would be excellent in a Russell Martin side in L1, he'd run the show, but I think he still has enough to contribute to a Championship table topper.NabySarr said:

So now we’re not signing anyone? Great5

I don't think Cawley would go as big on Nkeng if it wasn't signed, sealed, and delivered and we're just waiting to make the announcement until the social media team can put something together, promo shots can be done, all that.fenaddick said:Wimbledon podcast things Nkeng won't move

I would say the same about Bindon as well. I think it shows the potential strength in signing that we're signing players who will expect to start, even if they won't start regularly.wolfgang said:

Charlotte said on the live Charlton TV monthly who knows there might be some news sticking around for.

Personally I hope the Skipps deal comes off... I have always been a big fan.

Definitely something happening - Charlotte talking about a house analogy.7

I'd absolutely rather sign no one than Skipp. The Wimbledon winger seems interesting although it seems absolutely insane to sign yet another left winger.NabySarr said:So now we’re not signing anyone? Great1 -

It’s my mates pod, he’s normally quite good with his inside knowledge1 -
Must make you sick, FA, to know that other people have friends.ForeverAddickted said:Can people stop showing off about all the "friends" they've got (FYI... Imaginary ones shouldn't count!!)1 -
The Skipp loan would have no value to us whatsoever. If he continues this and last seasons form it’s a waste of a squad space and money from the wages loan fee etc
if he does well he goes back to Leicester where he’s either included in their squad again or we’re priced out of a future transfer.Would much rather we just buried this one.3
