Any club can offer him something.fenaddick said:
Surely he means we can offer Okonkwo something next summer if we want?Callumcafc said:
How is that possible when he's out of contract next summer? Unless there's a secret extra year a la Dan Kanu.sammy391 said:Steve Brown just said that Okonkwo’s deal is a season long deal that turns permanent at our digression…2 -
Who needs game chagers when you are already 3 up inside 60 mins 😉🙂Redhenry said:
As NJ would say, he's a game changergolfaddick said:
He only turned 19 a month ago & has only played 24 games in the EFL.fenaddick said:Tash Everitt/Sky Sports reporting the Nkeng deal too

Maybe one for the future (and we had one of those in Dixon) but you really can't compare him to JRS.1 -

Must make you sick, FA, to know that other people have friends.ForeverAddickted said:Can people stop showing off about all the "friends" they've got (FYI... Imaginary ones shouldn't count!!)

Agreed, I've just prank called him.PeaksAndValleys said:
At the risk of sounding a bit precious, does anyone else think we shouldn't be posting other people's full names, phone numbers etc on a public forum. If I found out one of my mates had done this with my info I would absolutely lose itLTKapal said:My LC supporting mate said the following sounds like doc to me

Is Skipp the player who wouldn't move up to the Midlands or was that Winks?0
-
I'm hanging on to the belief that we will still get a RW starter through the door and won't not believe that until it becomes impossible - no way can NJ be happy with a 19 year old bit part talent when he's banged on about RW and powder etc for the last month2
-
I know it’s a bit off topic but Bromley are finally doing the thing people on here mention all the time (it’s Jodi Jones)

Thought similar, unless it was making it permanent directly with the player?Callumcafc said:

Maybe if Rodwell sold his shitty sunglasses, we'd have some more funds to sign a winger better than a child from MK Dons II7

Playing 100 times in the prem makes you a good player.Big C said:
I get the "but he played for Spurs" / "but he played in the prem" arguments, but just because he played for Spurs in the past doesn't mean he's any good now. Djimi Traoré had played just shy of 100 games for Liverpool, and started in their Champions League final vs Milan, before we signed him. How did that one go?ShootersHillGuru said:Just because we had money for JRS which sadly didn’t happen it doesn’t mean we have to spend it on another player. If our targets are not available or there’s nobody Jones fancies then it’s far better to hold onto the money to either top up in January or to add to next summers budget. Perhaps the “extra” we now have enabled us to sign Nkeng. I’ve no real knowledge of Skipp but you don’t play 70 odd games for Spurs without having something. I think Jones will get it out of him.
Hopefully it's just his confidence is shot at the moment and if he signs he'll get that back with us, but only time will tell, and it's a definite risk if we're paying him anywhere near the wages he's on currently and we end up with the same player the Leicester fans are seeing right now. He’s been in a poor side and I’d imagine his confidence is totally shot, but you don’t make 100 appearances in the top league in the world if you’re not any good0 -
Skipp instead of doc and apter out.5

You don’t suddenly become a bad footballer. You’ve either got what it takes to play at the highest level or you haven’t. You can’t wing it. (No pun intended). Players lose form although that’s usually temporary or they lose the desire to do it for who knows what reasons. Confidence, not settling at a club, not getting on with manager or for personal reasons. Skipp has done well previously at Norwich and at Spurs with 24 England U21 caps, but it’s gone wrong for him somewhere. He’s 25 and if Jones thinks he can get a tune out of him then I welcome the signing.Big C said:

Okonkwo > Kaminski
Bindon > Sichenje
Kanu and Asiimwe gone but Nkeng doesn't need to be registered, so we're needing another out after Doc to register Skipp essentially?
GK: Okonkwo (loan), Mannion, Brooks (3)
Defenders: Ramsay, McNamara, Jones, Koumetio, Bindon (loan), Burke, Bell, Sichenje (unregistered), Mesík, Edwards, Asiimwe (10 9)
Midfielders: Chalobah, Coventry, Ouma (loan), Mwamba (U21), JRC, Doc, Knibbs, Fullah (U21), Carey (7)
Attackers: Apter, TC, Leaburn, Godden, Grant, Alli, Kelman, Mbick (U21), Kanu (8 7)
That means we're currently on 26 players. 2 to go before we can bring in anyone over 212 -

Maybe if he did not have the turning circle of The Queen MarySDAddick said:
I think JRC is safe to stay. He's started the season well. He and Mwamba are different types of players, Mwamba is a bit more all action, JRC is more creative/get on the ball make something happen. I agree with Fen, JRC seems to pretty clearly be ahead of Knibbs so to me it's either Knibbs or Apter. I think JRC would be excellent in a Russell Martin side in L1, he'd run the show, but I think he still has enough to contribute to a Championship table topper.NabySarr said:
Costello? If he’s dropped behind Mwamba in the pecking order and we are bringing in Skipp then I’m not sure there is a place for him. It’s either going to be Apter, Costello or Knibbsfenaddick said:
I don't think there's much interest in Apter though. Hypothetically, who else on that list goes? It has to Knibbs right?SDAddick said:
Suspect it's going to be Apter and Doc. I want Apter to work because he's a left footed RW which I definitely think we need. But it's hard not to get the impression that he just isn't going to cut it at this stage of his career.fenaddick said:

Costello could even be used in the Skipp deal if Leicester want a replacement. Would think Costello would fit a Russell Martin side quite well0 -

He's Spanish apparently, have we had a decent Spanish player before? Ruben Bover, Mikel Alonso, Ceballos were massive duds, Llera was a calamity,0
