Amount of moaning about our signings on here Nkeng was being chased by many club, I think we're lucky to have him. No use crying about JRS it was dead in the water so we move on. Although I do realise some will never be happy that's forums for you.16

Thats a bloody good loan at league 1 level. Wont come cheap.
In fact, the only way thats happening is if Skipp comes to us.
Personally I'm actually looking forward to seeing Skipp in a Charlton shirt, presuming it happens. It takes the pressure of having to play Chalobah every week, and getting a 25 yr old with 100 prem appearances including 25-30 for a team that came 5th is pretty damn good in my eyes.6 -

Admittedly at the start of the window I did expect a " marquee" £4-5m fee type signing because it felt like the logical progression, instead we've used a good chunk of the budget on new deals and increased wages for free agent signings like Grant and Danny Mac.7

Really impressed with the way we have dealt with this window, and welcome the latest addition Junior Nkeng into the fold, i'm unsure if we are finished or not, but it's nice to be going into the last four hours till it is slammed shut in a relaxed and settled mood, rather than panicking and praying for a last minute freebie to arrive...👌2

I think Otto Tiitinen deal will still go ahead.
Though Ilves have litrately sold their best two midfielders this week, (Kanga to Motherwell and Joona Veteli to HJK) the club have left themselves in a bit of a pickle (9th in the league as well, absolutely disastrous season in contexts of it for the club)7 -
So Skipp might replace our skipper!2

More concerning is that none of Doc and Apter seem to be generating any interest if the lack of rumours is anything to go by.
Clearly both out of favour so taking up a squad space and wage budget for no contribution. Thats hurting us.
Biggest reason if nobody else comes in.1 -

My view is, the owners don't want to keep having to fund transfers and/or want there to be a bigger transfer kitty in 2/3 years time. So we are buying young players with potential so that we can sell on for £5m/£10m/£15m in the future. Azeez at Millwall being the latest example of that.
Will it work....who knows. Is it a gamble.....most definitely. It didn't work with Kahim Dixon and to a lesser extent Tanto & Apter.
I liked the look of him on the YouTube clip posted earlier, but he himself says he is a left winger who likes to cut inside. In the YouTube video he is shown playing on the right and it does look like he is predominantly right footed. Will he be the answer to our right wing woes ? Probabky not as a starter, which is a shame because neither TC nor Grant work playing on the right.

It’s also basically the only way non-parachute championship teams can work their way up the league to get promoted. Look at Coventry, look at Brentford, look at Middlesbrough who are nearly there. So it is a very good strategy that we should be happy with. After pretty much a decade of chaos, we finally have some smart people making decisions and yet you still moan
We've all been crying out for a RW, even NJ says so. If after 3 months of the transfer window the best we can do is a "hopeful" from League 1 then I don't think Chapple has been doing his job properly.
As I said last night, I hoped we hadn't put all our dry powder in JRS's basket. Seemed like we had.

Fair enough, but as I said, unsure if we are finished or not, so there is time, but unlike past windows when we were usually praying for someone...anyone to come in only to end up with nothing, we are in a much better situation overall regarding additions we have made.AberystwythAddick said:

I’m not sure it’s moaning for moanings sake.
