    It’s also not a straight red anymore, if it’s like tonight where player has gone for the shirt and then got the hair, it’s a yellow

    JRC is starting to remind me of Danny Murphy!

    Not great defensively but a fantastic passer of the ball that can unlock defences.

    What I love about Arthur is he commands the penalty area…is quick to come out and smother the ball…he is a quality keeper

    I don't think many teams will enjoy playing us. We have some real tough defenders now.
    A point on the road is excellent.

    Only 24 too. He's going to be some keeper in a couple of years, maybe with us.

    Our shape out of possession against a team that wants to pass you to death, was excellent. 

    Other than the goal I think Arthur only made one save of note? It’s so nice to have a goalkeeper who gives off an air of authority and calm.

    Shame our fullbacks were a little off it today as it meant for large chunks the wide men were dropping back deep to help them out.

    I want to see Mesic in from the start now. He looks an excellent buy. Great defender and offers a real threat going forward.

    Thought Ouma showed that we are going to have a really good player on our hands once he gets up to speed. Some nice touches and got about the pitch well.

    Mwamba was ok, but showed we are going to have to carefully manage his minutes.

    Bindon was ok, but his header led to their goal and he nearly gave them a second when he gave the ball away in midfield.

    Campbell was less involved but still popped up with a goal and you can’t help but think that if he is on 9/10 goals at Xmas, someone is going to come along with a big money offer.

    Cant shake the feeling that we are a striker short. Leaburn put in a big shift again, but it’s a huge ask for him to do that week after week.

    Would have gladly taken a point beforehand and if someone had told me we would have 10 points after 4 games at full time against Reading I would have assumed they had a crack pipe in their back pocket.

    JRC and Mesik changed the game, don’t think it’ll be long before Ivan gets in on a regular basis. Ouma did well, couple of wayward passes but overall decent. TC and Leaburn had good games, as did Coventry and Jones. Bell and McNamara a bit off it. Mwamba worked hard and did ok but I think it showed he’s not ready to start yet. Alli disappointed but worked hard. Would have taken a point before kick off so happy with that. Well done the travelling support, did us proud. Oh, Okonkwo a massive upgrade on Kaminski. Hope we can get him signed permanently.

    Anyone else caught in this fucking diversion going round Birmingham. Loads of Charlton at some Burger King in the middle of Brum and all Sat nav’s sending us round in circles.

    Anyway - cracking fight back. Brilliant JRC, Mesík and Ouma.

    Wasn't able to watch tonight, but listened to Charlton TV in the second half. Happy with the point.

    The subs and change of formation seemed  to make a real difference, what was the formation afterwards? It sounded like 3 at the back, with Mesik having the freedom to bomb forward and support TC down the left, a role for which he is perfect. Or was TC more central, behind Miles?

    Another excellent left footed finish from TC, and it's a REAL weapon for him now. Being able to finish with both feet must stick another £3m  on his value, as it makes the job of defenders so much harder, as they now know there's a goal threat from both side.

    As the top players always say, doing less of the donkey work leaves more in the tank for penalty box finesse. It sharpens the alertness, improves the movement and gives you the composure to finish.

    Leaburn is really battling away, but need to to try and get him to do that work closer to the box/ in the box, he was knackered when he came off, that’s the only trouble sitting deep it isolates him a bit and makes his work less effective and too deep also. Not Leaburns fault by the way.

    Its a shame that Chalobah broke down before Ouma reached total readiness as realistically we need one or the other as the muscle in midfield to let Coventry continue his expanding range of passing. As ever with a Jones side its a system that needs all the parts to be working to make it effective and while Mwamba remains a great prospect its probably unfair to expect him to properly boss a midfield yet.
    Also not helpful that both of the starting FBs seemed to be having a bit of an off day at once, one we could have coped with but not both simultaneously.

    That said, Jones again played it very smart with his subs, Ouma looks better with every game and Mesik is looking a real bargain, and the Rankin-Costellosaince is showing no signs of slowing - dare I say he was bought last year with this year's system in mind?

    All in all a good point, we won't win every game but there won't be many teams looking forward to playing us this year.

    Wasn’t perfect tonight but we got a point away at a really good team, certain players didn’t play as well as previous games but deserve a bit of slack

    Such a nice feeling to have a proper keeper again, not worth digging up the past but that was a point that everyone including the keeper earnt, I’m not sure flappy would have made those saves under pressure

    Superb point. Didn’t play well, so take it all day long. Can see a lot of changes for Stoke to keep the legs - can see most if not all of the subs tonight starting Saturday (Ouma, JRC, Mesik, Mbick, Carey)

    Great point in the end, which I would have happily taken before the start. 

    Not much to add that's original, mainly need to say that I've not been a JRC fan, but his contribution tonight was excellent. I also thought throwing a 21 year old at CB who's only been with us 48 hours  very surprising and risky, but I thought Binden did very well, allowing for the errors others have mentioned. He looks classy enough to get those errors out of his game once he's settled in.

    AO is just proving to be the keeper I thought he was, as opposed to the one I read about on here. As above, just feel so much better when I see him in goal.

    I suppose neutrals would have watched it and said "How could that lot be top of the league? " But we know that's a hell of an improvement on last season already, and so many players are still just bedding in. Feeling very good about our club right now.

    Hard earned point. Coventry excellent. TC scored a great goal. IMO the best player on the pitch was the ex spanner loanee Styles. Can we sign him please?

    Excellent point. As many have said, not our best performance all round but it was certainly well earnt. Bit surprised about the rave reviews for Arthur.  I like him and he is decent. I'm just not sure he is as good as others seem to think.
