They don't play the same position but Coventry can't be dropped. He has been one of our best players so far and JRC can play with him if Chalobah isn't fit.3

Couldn't keep up with West Brom they passed around us with ease they just didn't have any end product. Picking up points when your not playing well is great stuff. Please don't play Bell LB when we go with a four at the back it doesn't work, team will need rotating as they chased the ball the whole game was hard work. Big shout out to Leaburn had no support but worked his socks off been really pleased with him this season definitely gone up a gear.1

It is the big worry for WBA fans. They are much better than last season but a bit toothless. You can have a slowish player at defensive midfield, but not at 10. They have to be pretty mobile. Costello is not a defensive mid.Pelling1993 said:

I think Leaburn needs to turn out with his head bandaged and with some tomato ketchup dabbed on it, strapping on his legs and his arm in a sling, maybe then they will treat him with a bit more sympathy.MuttleyCAFC said:I appreciate it is almost certainly my poor eyesight but I thought when JRC made that late dash to intercept the ball, wasn't he fouled? As for Skipp, he probably needs to be on the bench and play for the U-21s for a few games. And JRC looks a different player from last season. Finally Bindon. Looked ok if a bit slow. Seems to have a good long throw. I think he should have done better for the goal clearling wide rather than in shooting range but may be being over picky.3 -

My first game in person since the second play off semi v Wycombe at the Valley, and the first time ive
seen us this season.
For the first time in a number of years, we seem at last to have competent players in all positions across
the park. It really makes a difference.
Good to see a calm and capable keeper for the first time in years. Nice not to have heart failure every time some one gets a sniff of goal.
Thought it was a good first half, felt West Brom were nothing special and that we would score at least one. Unfortunately we were half asleep at the start of the second half when they put us under a lot pressure, which eventually led to them scoring.
Shame we didn’t get our first 3 subs on sooner. They were all standing there ready to come on while we were busy conceding the Albion goal.
JRC really made a positive impact when he came on, a couple of great driving forward runs including for
the goal.
Bindon did well, seeings as he’s only just arrived. Looked calm and collected.
Lloyd Jones was immense, pretty much getting to everything that came his way.
Also should note that Leaburn made some important contributions in defence as well as making TC’s goal.
Consistently poor from the officials, ignoring fouls on us and blowing up every time one of them fell over. Linesmen never seemed to know which way to award the throws until the ref had already decided.8 -
