Also it’s worth noting, Ouma didn’t personally provide the opposition with 4 goals, the TEAM let themselves down in a really bad 30mins of the game.
1st Ouma gave away penalty his fault entirely not team
2nd he couldn't make a simple pass or clearance and rushed a fast ball at Grant which bounced off him and Galbraith finished. His fault.

He gave them 2 goals. It really is that simple. We fell apart after that. Bindon at fault for 3rd but damage was already done.

You would be a fine one to be in the trenches with👍

so in that case, why didn’t AO save the pen, and why didn’t the defence close down the Galbraith shot, and why didn’t jones get in the way of the flick, need I go on? Nobody else to noame no?, we win and lose as a team.

    It was definitely a pen.

They don’t get called often but it’s a pen.

Needs to show some more nous
Agreed. Harsh, but technically a foul.

    (1) Did the initial set piece need to be given away in the first place, could we have handled their attack better, no corner means no risk of a penalty given the grappling in the box

    (2) Plenty of time from giving the ball away to Galbraith getting the shot away for players to react and block the shot, or do they get a free pass... Just because...?

    (3) Bindon at fault for the first, but why didn't we stop the cross?

This was my argument in defence of Campbell plenty of times last season, where for example he got pelters for backing out of a 50/50 in the opposition box, they broke and scored from it... You can blame the one player for the initial mistake all you like, but its still a team game... We still had enough time to deal with the resulting attack that led to the goal on that occasion... Yet someone ALWAYS has to be at fault for something on here.

You think Jones is going to look at the goals we conceded today, and simply talk to Ouma and Bindon about those goals in particular? - No... He'll address it with the whole team and talk about how they as a collective dont just stop the resulting goal, but the cause too
  • He’ll have to improve if we released the club captain to accommodate him.
This seems sort of crazy doesn’t it?

It's amazing how new players can come in and get judged on 75 minutes of football and supporters think they are either s*** or should be sold.
why he was picked ahead of Mwamba is anyone’s guess .  I also hope there was a good reason why Coventry was rested
Because Mwamba played Wednesday and found it a bit tough in a lot of people’s opinion. So why would you not play a player perceived to be a more experienced player?
I assume you mean Skipp and not Ouma

No, I mean Ouma, he has played more 1st team football than Mwamba.

I can’t really believe this is your opinion. Even less so that it’s got three likes. Wilmot has as much of Ouma’s shirt and goes down in stages. Very poor refereeing to have been conned by that.

I made my mind up about him when he pussied out of a defensive header in our own box against Tottenham, unacceptable at Synday level let alone professional. He passed more to Stoke players today than Charlton players, his out of possession shape is chaos/mayhem, pick one but neither are good.

Think we dropped a bollock bringing this muppet in and releasing Docherty. I live to be proven wrong, doubt I will be.

He didn’t. His pass completion % was comparable to that of Bell, Bindon and Mesík. No one’s complaining about them giving the ball away.

He wasn’t good by any means but he wasn’t as bad as some want to make out either

Bell was more interested in having a tussle with the winger before the cross on one of the goals, shit defending, but not a mention of it. Unfortunately there was a lot wrong all over the place today.

Hard to argue with any of that, even with the 3rd Skipp has gone to press on the left hand side, Ouma should be moving more centrally to cover the area and space in behind rather than sticking to the right. Not having a go at him for the 3rd but for me physically and battling he looks up to this level but he seriously lacks a level of composure and footballing intelligence that he can get away with in Poland and Sweden but not in the championship.

Whaaaaat. I'm certain the club will get a letter apologising for that decision. It's not a foul to put your arms on another player. Stoke guy isn't made to go down, he decides to go down.

Well if Jones thinks his players hang him out to dry yesterday, Ouma is first and foremost in that being directly responsible for the first two goals.

As Jones loves a grudge, i doubt we will see more of Ouma until after Christmas unless all other midfielders are unfit

He had him in a headlock while the player is trying to move forwards.

I can’t believe you can’t see that as a pen.

The foul was clear as day, it was a stupid foul but still a foul.

You can be annoyed at it but doesn’t change the fact that it was a pen all day long.

He's certainly a project player, seems to have a lot of good aspects but some glaring improvements needed in other areas, seems a very expensive project to me if the alledged 3.5million (5 mill euros) potential price is correct. Hopefully it's just him getting to grips with a much much quicker and competitive league but at that kinda price you'd expect him to acclimatise quickly.

Ooh hadn't thought of that very few other people can hold a grudge like our dear gaffer someone make sure he's not booking flights to prague to send Ouma back...

How many times was Campbell written off last season, wasn't too long ago that a lot of posters were piling on him and suggesting that he should consider moving on in the summer - Ouma on the other hand isn't just new to the League, he's also new to the country.
But yeah lets not be a bit more patient with him

We can’t afford to lose games in The Championship . I’m sure we will be patient with him now after yesterday. Campbell was moaned at last year by some fans for his end product but there wasn’t a time the he didn’t look like he wasn’t actually a professional footballer but sadly that’s the case with Ouma  . A deer in the headlights.

At this level we as fans clearly have two options to "enjoy" under Nathan Jones
    (1) - We play our best 11 every single game... run the risk of injury decimating the squad, and we potentially go 10-15 games with the squad players, because we've overworked the eleven main players... and so risk our Championship future
    (2) - We have one game every so often where the squad players come into the team, the resulting outcome means the game is a bit more hard fought, some of which like yesterday we'll lose, others (like Wednesday) we'll draw... But we're better for it in the long run.
  • Behind Mwamba in pecking order now, that's for sure.

Surely there is a middle way where we rotate a handful of players and make sure we build good partnerships across the squad? That’s twice we’ve made wholesale changes and been thumped (Spurs and yesterday).

Is the Spurs game really a good benchmark though?
Or are our expectations against Premier League opposition just unreasonable... Coventry lost 3-0 to Arsenal on the opening day of the season, our last two games against that standard, with big pockets have ended 5-1 regardless if we've played our First Team or not.
Not to mention we "only" made four changes yesterday... the Defence was largely settled still, apart from Mesik at Right-Back, who was still one of the better players out there... Same with Skipp who didn't disgrace himself.
