Not something I’d travel or pay £40 for personally but wish you all the best5

I think that's a very reasonable price for a Premier Inn.AFKABartram said:Not something I’d travel or pay £40 for personally but wish you all the best11 -
You’re right there, my Cardiff one last week was £125!ElfsborgAddick said:

Although in all seriousness it's about the going rate? Knowing them, breakfast was probably not even included.0 -

I'm out.I suppose it depends how you look at it. It’s no different to paying to go to the theatre or see a comedian, except this is an evening with the most successful manager in Charlton’s history. I don’t think travelling into Kent makes it unreasonable

Ticket prices aren’t over the top at all . I went to the one with Curbs , Powelly , Bowyer and JJ a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it.AC has a lot of stories to tell and he has a potty mouth to go with it .5

How much would you pay to go & see a band these days ? I paid £100 to see the Cure & £60 to see Psychedelic Furs in the last couple of years & I'm sure a lot of "artistes" ( I use the word lightly) are charging a hell of a lot more. Not my kind of thing but I hope it goes well.Bedsaddick said:Ticket prices aren’t over the top at all . I think you have to take into account venue costs, Money for the speaker which nobody should begrudge, risk of poor attendance, promotion costs etc... The prices are more than reasonable unlike many of those that complain about them and those that think they are unreasonable don't have to buy tickets. That is the wonderful thing about it.
It will be more local to some than others. Surely it depends where you live. I live in Hertfordshire so could have a moan it isn't local to me,1 -
The price we think is amazing considering who our guest is!MuttleyCAFC said:I think you have to take into account venue costs, Money for the speaker which nobody should begrudge, risk of poor attendance, promotion costs etc... It’s not local for Curbs either - maybe he will stay in the Premier Inn - only needs one ticket sold to cover it ..MuttleyCAFC said:I think you have to take into account venue costs, Money for the speaker which nobody should begrudge, risk of poor attendance, promotion costs etc... Hope it’s a success but isn't something for me. Hope too you are not hit by us having a home tie v a PL club that day, especially if it’s made a late afternoon/evening kick off.0

I get it. You say you don't think travelling into Kent makes it unreasonable because you have a project to make some money and you want to persuade people to shell out their hard earned. Travelling costs, attendance fee, even staying at a hotel - which you are posting us marketing pictures of - plus food, drinks, etc.LarrysMobileBar said:bolloxbolder said:I got lol'd for bulking at the Mendonca prices, but at least it was local.

Good luck to you but seems to me you are getting bit pushy for your profit. Just my take.
We know who Curbs is. Seen him around quite a lot over the years and lots on Charlton TV.
Having said that, if I lived close enough to the venue, I would probably go as I like Curbs a lot and it could be a fun night.1 -
Curbs! Really.
Most of us have seen and heard him many, many times. All the stories have been told ad nauseum.
I'm sure Curbs is not short of a bob or two.
I don't see the point at any price.
He is after all West Ham.3 -
Well the Premier Inn was only to help people. On Facebook people enquired about local hotels, so was just helping out.Major said:
