The truth is Skipp and Coventry are Foley and Crofts 2.0.
This is maybe the worst Coventry slander I've ever had to deal with. Genuinely an emergency

    They’re Coventry and Docherty 2.0.

We played a two man midfield yesterday to accommodate Leaburn and Mbick up front and TC and Grant out wider. It’s hardly surprising that Coventry and Skipp were having a battle that basically wasn’t likely to produce much, it probably wasn’t expected to and was only there to disrupt the opposition and create space for the others. It worked for the goal with a weighted pass from defence that capitalised on that space. It’s just a shame that we seemed to give up on early passes to players in a forward position after that and went back to faffing and over thinking our passes.

Would be fine with Skipp as a Coventry back-up. As others have said, it's obvious we need a less fragile alternative to Chabaloh - I guess that was meant to be the hapless Ouma's role... Something we need to remedy in January.

Can we please just give Mwamba another go? It's so evident we need something else in there and he's done absolutely nothing wrong

Mwamba will be a cracking player in time, but he isn’t the answer to our problems right now, the recruitment team have had a shocker in midfield, we are no better than last season.

The lack of creativity or ability to drive forward with the ball in the centre of the park kills us.

We must have hoped we’d be able to get a deal for Holsgrove done but then we ended up with less desirable options.

Even if Mwamba himself isn’t the answer it may just be helpful for Skipp or Coventry to not have exactly the same type of player next to them

Fair point, but far from ideal a situation to be in for the team, we are literally trying to find the least bad option, that in itself is crazy when it was so clear in the summer what was needed. We should be discussing why players are being left out, not who the hell do we play.

Dobbo has played twice for Wrexham, unlikely to be starts and Joe Aribo is still unattached. Both better 8 options than Skipp.

Is MWamba an 8? If so, yes him and Coventry/Skipp have to be the answer for now

Sure but Skipp is playing as a 6 not an 8
