Or the tasteful anagram Ma-Gary. See, I'm just as bad now0

Its odd how they extrapolated Banana from varadi.Leuth said:(although if I was Hungarian I'd still find it a bit off tbh)0 -
"It started because of former City forward Imre Varadi in August 1997. It was just one guy at the game who referred to him as "Imre Banana". A guy called Frank Newton then brought a five-foot blow-up banana to the next game at Maine Road v Plymouth, and then everyone started doing it."

Incredible player. People will criticise City's spending (and rightly so) but any top PL club could've moved to sign him. None did.CAFCsayer said:Cherki is outrageous
What's quite funny is that City originally wanted to sign Wirtz but he chose Liverpool and went for 116m, so City moved for Cherki instead for about 80m less.2 -
But then what made City attractive to Cherki? Pep, Haaland, the other great players City had, and the years of success.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

None of which would have happened without the years of cheating, which turned City into this giant.2 -
Great result for Coventry. Really good that in the last 2 seasons, the promoted sides haven't been complete cannon fodder.1

I heard his father was one part of a classic comedy duo...... Oliver Hardy.Addick Addict said:
Varadi had a Hungarian father and Italian mother but was born in London. I'm probably even more "Hungarian" (both parents came here in 1956 and I was born in Bromley Hospital). I was called Gary Goulash at school and regarded that as a term of endearment. Even if I hate goulash!!!Leuth said:(although if I was Hungarian I'd still find it a bit off tbh)0 -
What a goal for Brighton against the Virgins.
Brilliant.4 -
And they're now 3-0 up in less than 10 minutes.
Outstanding.4 -
Let's hope they can emulate the seven they got against us many many years ago at the Goldstone.1

So annoying that they beat Forest last week. The sort of jammy win they regularly get, just when the pressure is building up.
Palace, Sunderland and Bournemouth don't have the squad to cope with European football on top of the league.3 -

My hope is they pick up enough points to keep Sage in a job but that really he isn't good enough to keep them up. They absolutely don't have the squad to cope with Europe this season. But will likely throw some money at it in January and be ok.1 -
Brighton have now scored 23 goals in 7 PL matches with an 18 goal difference. They drew their first game of the season 0-0, in the Europa Conference, but since then have found the net a ridiculous 34 times in 10 games.
Nathan Jones played for Brighton and was caretaker manager there at one point. Which would explain why we now share the same attacking instincts as Brighton.16 -
8 games out of 11 this season they've scored 3 or more goals2
-
Jones was, of course, on the coaching staff with us in 2012-13. In that period, Matt Taylor was our CB and he is now the current Exeter City manager. Their paths, clearly, did not cross given that Exeter, in 11 league games this season, have scored and conceded the same number of goals - 6.Addick Addict said:Brighton have now scored 23 goals in 7 PL matches with an 18 goal difference. Makes me wonder with how trigger happy Marinakis is if Glasner won't be the first manager sacked.0

Actually thought Forest did ok for long periods in the game. Arsenal have to be by far the most boring good team in recent memory. Even the Mourinho team that only conceded 15 goals were good going forward.
They will win the league again simply because their defence is so good and in most games just nicking 1 goal is enough. 1 shot on target all game yesterday that beat the keeper because of a deflection and they get the win. It was the same at Villa earlier in the season, poor performance, 2 shots on target, nicked a 1-0.1 -
Don't show NJ this!Chris_from_Sidcup said:Actually thought Forest did ok for long periods in the game. Arsenal have to be by far the most boring good team in recent memory. Even the Mourinho team that only conceded 15 goals were good going forward.

Sadly I can see it now.MarcusH26 said:Makes me wonder with how trigger happy Marinakis is if Glasner won't be the first manager sacked.
Forest sack Glasner at the same time Palace lose patience with their new boss. Glasner returns to Palace and saves them from relegation.0 -
Maddison playing very well and a quality goal.0
-
That is absolutely pathetic from the Coventry player, going to hold his face rather than keeping Marmoush under pressure as he shot. Nathan Jones would probably cut off his arm and eat it in front of him1
-
Someone left a red sock in the Coventry sky blue kit?0
-
Disappointed with that0
