As a superstitious bastard I have a bit of a dilemma. I was off site for a bit at the start of the season, and since I've been back doing updates on the match thread, we've not won a game. Should I sit on my hands tomorrow ?
    Is that a euphemism?

No Otto or Nkeng in U21s? Any relevance?
I don’t think Otto is registered for the senior team like he’d need to be and Nkeng is a first team squad player anyway
Unless we’ve got rid of Ouma somehow?
Surely if we had we wouldn’t then register someone we loaned to play U21 football who hasn’t looked that impressive though? Even we’re more sensible than that

It wouldn’t make sense but little recruitment we’ve done recently has

With the forum clearly desperate for a preview and @ForeverAddickted possibly busy elsewhere I thought I’d start a thread, it won’t be as good as FA’s of course.

Norwich come into this one in poor form having lost their last 5 in the league and sitting 21st. The fans anger isn’t directed at manager Phillippe Clement but towards director of football Ben Knapper. He has built a young squad who are seemingly lacking leadership. Captain Kenny McLean usually provides that leadership but has been injured, he is due to be available for tomorrows fixture.

Charlton’s form has also been poor, not that any of you need to be reminded of that. Nathan Jones has hinted that he might ring the changes and a change of formation might be on the cards to facilitate it. He will be boosted by the return to training of Nathaniel Chalobah and Matty Godden although it might be too soon for them to start. Solly March is expected to sign a short term deal but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Okonkwo, Ramsay, Jones, Koumetio, Bell, Coventry, Mwamba, Alli, Carey, Campbell, Kelman

Subs: Mannion, Mesík, McNamara, Rankin-Costello, Skipp, Knibbs, Grant, Leaburn, Godden

I'll do the next one mate :)

    Love to see :
    Okonkwo
    mac. Jones. Billy mesic
    ramsay Coventry. Chaloba
    march. Lea burn  Campbell

  • Last couple of games we have clearly played a 3 4 2 1 formation,  with Grant and Campbell playing just behind Leaburn.

Reason I mention that is one of our best performances last season was against Hull when we played that formation with Knibbs and Carey playing behind Kelman.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see those 3 start tomorrow playing in those roles.

    I think it will be:
    ................Okonkwo
    Ramsay Jones(C) Billy Edwards
    ........Skipp Coventry
    Grant.......Carey.........TC
    ...............Kelman

Bench: Mannion, Bell, Mesik, Mac, JRC, Knibbs, Alli, Leaburn, Mbick

I know Skipp and Cov are much maligned, but I think they're currently our best fit 6s. I also think that having another midfielder in front of them in Carey will help. Carey can take the ball on the turn and drive at defenses, plus he's good in the press. I'm really hopeful of a performance tomorrow. Not sure we'll get one, but hopeful.

Can not believe he will make a lot of changes to the team, at least the same defense as Watford same midfield, so maybe start with Kelman instead  of Leaburn.  Even so expect us to lose, probably 2-0.

    No more excuses.

We don’t win tomorrow and there is no other way to paint it other than we are in trouble.

we said no excuses not to get a result last weekend. Now even more so

Weather is going to be the winner awful day  predicted … which makes the game a mockery and the team who makes less mistakes will win .. …… still remember comments from NJ that he needs to use the squad and players he been to loyal to changes will be made … with that in mind the team for tomorrow .. 4132 attacking formation … in goal one more chance for AO he needs to show us what a good keeper  he is back 4 Ramsey Jones Billy Mesik .. the one defensive mid Skipp the three in front Knibbs Carey Ali front two Kelman and Godden … there a brave team one that would win .. can we see NJ keeping his word no not really Campbell will still play … …. Having said all that Norwich was the best team seen at the valley last season they out played us ….. not sure about them now but they are a dangerous team ..we have 4 games 3 at home if we can get 7 points we hit the 20 mark after 15 games ……tomorrow 2-1 to Charlton

Norwich would die for that midfield, in our team tho not their's. Good idea to keep our top scorer out as well, Ron.

That Norwich have lost five in a row and are still the bookies’ favourites really says something about the state we’re in.
I expect Nathan will set us up to nick a 1-0. If it works then he’s a genius and if it doesn’t then  he’s a clown.

No more defensive set ups for 1-0. Just stop it - no more.

Not again at home to a struggler.

Will be a fucking embarrassment if we set up like that again. What will it take for us to learn?

This is already a hugely important game -

After last week I'm not going to watch and see if that makes a difference to the result.

We huff and puff during the first 15 minutes - dont get the goal and then fall back until we concede.

    0-2 the misery goes on.

Score first we win 3-1, concede first we lose 1-0. This has a Norwich win written all over it for me and their first clean sheet of the season. Then we win at Boro Saturday week.

I’m sure Solly March will feature at some point tomorrow, think we haven’t announced it yet to keep Norwich guessing.

If Norwich are the bookies favourites, be wise and stick your money on Charlton!
Norwich will roll us over like Watford did.  They have to stop the run sometime.

You must be Skipp's biggest fan. You have named him in the starting XI and on the bench.

If we start with Alli, Carey and Kelman, 0-3.
Channelling my inner FA with an error on purpose 😉
At least we now know where FA is:

He's under the wheels of the bus Fen is driving ;)
They are one and the same person. The clue is in the initials.

Having thrown half the team under the bus last week there is no way that NJ picks the same starting 11, or even the same 18 man squad.

I'm expecting 3 or 4 changes to the starting 11, with Skipp, Leaburn & Grant all droping down to the bench.

I'm also expecting a couple of surprise starters with either Alli or Nkeng on the right wing. Mwamba will partner Cov in midfield & either Carey or Knibbs in the no10 role.

If not then we are in Barney Rubble.

Chalobah isn’t fit, Ramsay isn’t a midfielder and March doesn’t play for us. Apart from that, looks good,

I think he was trying to say Chalobah will be back in March.
