I really liked Dillon and rated him better than what we had. Looking at his clubs since leaving, I'm underwhelmed

Yes, had a busy couple of weeks so starting a bit later, but hoping to try and put something together by the end of the week.

PWR in case it's been mentioned, but Wrexham have signed Ryan Hardie:

    https://www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/news/2025/june/16/signed---ryan-hardie-SToK-2025/

Good signing in my opinion, quick, works hard.

One thing with their ownership model, quick success etc - presume they might find it hard to move a few players on big wages for their level on?  Looking upfront, Fletcher is out on contract, I presume that they'll keep Sam Smith on as a squad player at the least, but they've got Marriott, Palmer, Rodriguez, Mullin, Faal all under contract and I doubt they'll think many of those are up to the Championship.

Are they going to be havily subsidising wages to send players out on loan?

As it stands I'd rather have our squad than theirs. They've got to do a huge clear out of older players that won't get the wages they're on at Wrexham anywhere else.

Hardie is a good signing to be fair to them though.

Yeah - as it stands being the key point there though, they'll be investing more than we do.

Hopefully we do it better though!

I'm also not that convinced by Parky in the championship, they can invest all they like but if they get off to a slow start the pressure will quickly mount when they realise Disney aren't interested in them losing 5-0 at Norwich.

Marriott, Palmer and Mullin are definitely surplus, seeing that they struggled to get a game in the second half of last season. Smith and Hardie will be first choice

Faal is their version of an Ahadme, a punt on a younger attacker that didn't really work. Indeed Fletcher was their version of Chuks, as he was used as an impact sub.

Never ordered a Chicken Ahadme, but can well imagine it would stink the place out

“We’re looking forward to working with him and I’m sure everyone will give him a warm welcome to the STōK Cae Ras.”

Wrexham AFC’s 2025 summer transfer window is brought to you by our partners, STōK Cold Brew Coffee.

Maybe the coffee shop will help pay J-rods wages while he catches up on his Disney+

I'll be surprised if Parkinson is still in charge by the time we get to the January transfer window.

I expect he'll rightly get a bit of leeway because of all the promotions but ultimately i think they'll realise that if they want to go further, he is not the man to lead them.

Yeah I think he'll get some goodwill period but if they are struggling in November/December having spent a few quid too I can see him going.

The difference in the Championship is that the money they spent in L1 which made them a moneybags side there won't stand out in the Championship.

They seem fairly sensibly run there, I'm sure the owners know that mid table would be an excellent achievement.

From what I’ve read Ryan Hardie £500k plus add ons . Only one year left on contract so made sense for Plymouth to sell now and get some money.
Pretty decent signing for Wrexham and at 28 will bring their average squad age down a bit from 50.

    700k according to this tweet:

    https://x.com/pafcreport/status/1934691180249284725?t=b1v2ci_uPuE5WBBua31lVg&s=19

That is a very sensible transfer and a shrewd bit of business. Wrexham should be ok up top with Smith and Hardie, very decent options.

I personally think all three of the investors plus their lucrative sponsors will adjust and strengthen accordingly if things get off to a rocky start.

I doubt a 5-0 defeat anywhere will be enough to dampen their enthusiasm.

Looks like he deals puff to uni students 🤣
Looks like he's smoked most of it.
hes written his name the wrong way round, and why clasp a rose (will our new signings have to hold a sword in future?).
I’m assuming it’s just the red rose of Lancashire which they have on their crest/badge.

Apparently Sturge from Chelsea is a done deal. Well happy with that. Had him on loan last season. Excellent player and still young.

Wouldn't be so bad if they get him because the more Sheff Weds struggle, the better for us. He's played 40+ league games for them in all of the last 7 years.
