Spurs v Forest in 3 weeks time is going to be huge. Whoever loses that will be in serious trouble.6

Only if West Ham start winning some games.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Spurs v Forest in 3 weeks time is going to be huge. Whoever loses that will be in serious trouble.0 -
Start winning? Last 7 matches they've picked up 11/21 points, they've beaten Spurs, Burnley and Sunderland, drawn against Man Utd and Bournemouth but lost to Chelsea and Liverpool. Spurs have taken 4/30 points and not won one of those 10 games.CaptainRobbo said:

Manchester City are a much better side than Arsenal, they're good to watch, like to really attack, and still have that nasty edge when required
Arsenal always look stilted and one dimensional. Yesterday they were lucky to beat Chelsea who'd had a man sent off
The Prem title is still up for grabs. Question is, will the Gunners bottle it again ?
Good to see Man U playing great under Michael Carrick. He should get the job on a permanent basis NOW4 -
Arsenal turn on the style at times, and have been the most consistent side this season.
Citeh were absolutely pants for a few games early on in the season, and when they go off the boil it really shows1 -
Two brilliant signings by City in January have made a big difference though.sam3110 said:Arsenal turn on the style at times, and have been the most consistent side this season.

Both Premier League stalwarts so no settling in issues, and both are excellent characters too. Semenyo is already their joint 3rd highest goalscorer in the PL this season, with 5 goals in 8 games.3 -
I'm one of the very few on CL who want Arsenal to win the Premier league but seeing the wrestling match at every Corner between Arsenal and the odious Chelsea when Rice and James take their pin point corners on most occasions, really shows how we have gone away from the beautiful game.
Both teams can play sweet passing moves but this game typified what we see every week in matches from the top to the bottom of the football pyramid.
Declan Rice could have given away 2 penalties from corners with both arms around the body for one and giving it the elbow with another.
I'm sure the blocking move was turned into an art form by John Terry but now it's open warfare and fouls happen everywhere and the refs need some advice on what to do !

Refs just need to start calling fouls/obstruction at basically every corner and it'd soon stop. I don't understand why they aren't

Because it would create even more inconsistency and complaints. What one ref views as acceptable another won't and it will just fuel conversation. I genuinely think ref's can't winNorth Lower Neil said:Refs just need to start calling fouls/obstruction at basically every corner and it'd soon stop. I don't understand why they aren't1 -
I disagree. Because some refs might be a bit soft they shouldn't give anything? Its got daft and they're basically ignoring their own rules now.fenaddick said:

The refs should all just be told to give this stuff as a foul. Because it is one.
A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences against an opponent in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:
holds an opponentimpedes an opponent with contact
An indirect free kick is awarded if a player:impedes the progress of an opponent without any contact being made
Tell the refs that as soon as they spot a player holding an opponent like they're all doing now, give it. They see a player blocking off an opponent, give it. The players will stop doing it.
Then teams might try and score normally and not try to just win off set pieces.3 -

And they should've won that, 2-0 up and lost 3-2.Addick Addict said:

Really boring half between Wolves and Liverpool. Liverpool have massively regressed from last season.0
-
Leeds v Sunderland game is almost unwatchable with all the theatrics and cheating going on. Ref hasn’t got a clue how to cope with it. Such a poor spectacle.0
-
The Premier League is really boring this season, shite football. All about trying tricks and pushing the rules to get the tiniest edge etc rather than just trying to play.

Imagine if Wolves had appointed Rob Edwards earlier1
-
Good for Wolves hope they can hold out0
-
70 minutes of tedium, then an incredible finish to the game.
Wolves are now tough opponents. Nothing to lose, and full of confidence now.

Some going by Wolves, going to pass out Burnley soon enough. Liverpool are truly awful though.1
-
Ok Liverpool letting in a late winner wasn't boring.0
-
They spent a lot of money to be this shit, they could have hired me and I'd have done for them a lot cheaper!2

Think he'd get another Championship job easily enough after 3 promotions.JustFloydRoad said:siblers said:Some going by Wolves, going to pass out Burnley soon enough. Liverpool are truly awful though. How do we feel about Parker potentially getting sacked (would you like to see him next season)?
If he gets anyone else promoted they need to be brave and replace him though!0 -
To be fair, there are clear signs they've turned a corner and are more resilient now. Last 14 games:MrOneLung said:
Easy to get the odd result when pretty much guaranteed to go down.fenaddick said:Imagine if Wolves had appointed Rob Edwards earlierThey only won 1 of his first 17 games in charge.
Drew 1-1 (A) Man Utd
Won 3-0 (H) West Ham
Drew 1-1 (A) Everton
Won 6-1 (H) Shrewsbury (Cup)
Drew 0-0 (H) Newcastle
Lost 0-2 (A) Man City
Lost 0-2 (H) Bournemouth
Lost 1-3 (H) Chelsea
Drew 0-0 (A) Forest
Won 1-0 (A) Grimsby (Cup)
Drew 2-2 (H) Arsenal
Lost 1-0 (A) Palace (played last half an hour with 10 men and goal was in injury time)
Won 2-0 (H) Villa
Won 2-1 (H) Liverpool
They lost 17 of their first 21 games prior to this run, taking just two points from 19 matches but, since then, Wolves have picked up 14 points from 12 games in the PL and have made the last 16 of the Cup.0 -
Too little too late for Wolves though. Would probably need to win 6 of their last 8 to have even a slight chance of staying up and even that might not be enough. If they had 6-7 more points i'd give them a good chance as their run in isn't bad.3

Aren't there 10 games left?Chris_from_Sidcup said:Too little too late for Wolves though. Would probably need to win 6 of their last 8 to have even a slight chance of staying up and even that might not be enough. If they had 6-7 more points i'd give them a good chance as their run in isn't bad.0 -

Quite a few others have played 28, yes.0 -
Really want spurs down, if only because they were the team we lost to when our premier league status was finally extinguished.Addick Addict said:

It's therefore only right they come down, the fixture computer puts in Charlton Vs Spurs, last home game, we clinch promotion back to the premier league, Nathan Jones goes full berserker in front of the Jimmy Seed....
We can all dream, right!2 -
Spurs were last relegated in 1977. Outside chance of winning Champions League and being relegated in the same season.

The sheer entitlement of Liverpool fans at the moment is killing me0
