Why do matches at Cambridge always feel like they drag on forever?

Watching a game at Cambridge can be hard, but saying goodbye doesn't have to be.

No idea how NJ is going to pick a starting eleven for Watford from this lot.

No injuries, no excitement, no creativity, might as well start the season 😮‍💨

We're doomed... Relegation to League One is inevitable

Might as well wave the white flag now

On a serious note, a draw / defeat during Pre-Season always feels a bit more beneficial I think... Just confirms that not everything is naturally going to go our way every game this coming season, and this gives Nathan Jones and his team a bit of a chance to iron out any issues from todays match over the coming weeks.
  • Allbeit inferior oppo, Cambridge are one week ahead of us in terms of preparation- We still have 2 weeks and 2 games to come. We’ll see where we are on Tuesday night. Nothings achieved in July !

To be fair, Rotherham did win the transfer window cup this time last year.

I would think NJ will put out strongest team for 90 minutes for most starting 11.
Be interesting to see that team and who is still injured

The press from the Blackpool man, is a Nathan Jones wet dream

Suspect we'll drop our interest in Kelman now

Shame to be missing some key players already.....Godden, Ramsey & Berry would make a difference. I hope they are fit for the start of the season, but iirc both Godden & Berry missed the start of last season.  Need to get on top of these "niggles" as we need to start the season strong.
  • Right, games done announce Kelman

Think the game was more important to Cambridge given they start next week
But again it’s a good run out 60 mins for some 30 for others .. I think it’s pretty clear that we are behind in our pre season and that’s what there putting the little niggles down to , perhaps having to push players. a bit more but earlier .. we miss Berry and Godden but there good signs the new players looking comfortable decent players .. and a lot of these players you will only see very briefly through the season if at all but Jones will see who needs to go out and who will stay around the squad …

Fell asleep after half an hour and woke up 20 mins in to the second. The sleep was far and away the most enjoyable part of the afternoon.

Not a great performance, little real flow or pattern.

It is only preseason so not going to wet the bed.

Tuesday, provided Ipswich choose a decent squad, will be a real test of our potential, provided of course that we show all our cards and play our probable starters from the off ..
I am assuming here that Nathan already has a Championship starting Xl in mind
