    Right, games done announce Kelman

If Mr Burns said Monday, I'm going for Sunday as we did recently for someone ?

The Basildon born boy that goes to Dallas for his youth career before going back to Southend while still an academy player to carry on being a scholar.
I would like to know the story behind Kelman's early years.

I'm old school in until I hear the large lady sing or the pen has signed the forms, the transfer can still not happen.

League one starts next Saturday so teams always give it a bit extra in their final warm up game.
Players getting minutes against a team that is trying is far more beneficial than playing against a team that is not.
Allin all this is a very good pre season with players being signed early and getting to know one another.
    Onwards and upwards.

Watching pre season the following need
go out on loan Kanu Z Mitchell , Fuller Assimwe , Anderson , Ahadme ( to get fit ) Mbick AMB

Given the injuries, that would leave a first team squad of about 15

We have not yet seen our starting 11 play together nor do we yet know what it is, but you can hazard a good guess that Kaminski, Jones, Bell, Coventry, Apter, Edwards, Tanto and probably TC and R-C will be part of it.

Trialist A’s trial is now over I reckon, trialist B looked tidy enough for another run out.

These sorts of tweets annoy me. Not particularly witty at all, and it’s not unreasonable to think Ahadme or other players might see this tweet, which makes you look like a wanker!

Up to a point. They should also be about team cohesion & getting the team to gel into a settled style of play.

I'll never forget our first game of the season back in the Premiership after winning the title in 2000. We played Man City at home & the commentator remarked as City kicked off their front 2 shaking hands as if they were introducing themselves to each other.

    We thrashed them 4-0.

I sometimes think that with a fairly deep squad we need 1 more "fitness " game scheduled by this point to give the players full 90 runouts, rather than these 60-30 games, and then have more or less full strength sides in the last 2 games to work on shape and tactics.

No chance NJ sends Anderson or Mbick out on loan and it wouldn’t surprise me if he kept Fullah and Dixon around the squad

Why pick Ahadme as a Sub and then not put him on? Don’t get me wrong I think he is dogshit but it appears he is being punished.

Weaver what’s the score? Weaver, Weaver what’s the score. They had FIFA world player of the year George Eeah as well on the pitch that day. What a reintroduction to the PL that day was.

Highlight was the herd of cows that greeted us at the end of the pathway to the main road. Agree re fitness, seems NJ is trying to work out what doesn't work and putting potential loanees in the window.

Asiimwe only coming on at 60 and still being subbed off was a harsh but correct call.

Think Fullah may be sticking around, impressive for a while now

His versatility helps too, as he can compete with Carey and Berry (and Donley or Knibbs hopefully?) and the wing backs on both sides. Could also be an option in the wide/deeper roles if we play 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1.

Ideally yes, and I'm sure NJ would agree with you.

But as play off final winners, many of our players had a shorter break than most teams in the Championship - and even then began pre-season a full week behind those other teams.

Losing that week of pre-season means we also lose the chance for an additional fixture.

I genuinely suspect he went because of his previous connections to the club and would have been an opportunity to offer him to them, Jones is a bit too professional to play someone he has no interest in though.

NJ says Ramsay not going, thankfully. He is better than the 2 who played in his position today.

Agree. Think he maybe the surprise who makes his mark this coming season.

I don't think there is any reason whatsoever for anyone to be dramatic over a preseason match. Its about fitness and seeing who works the best together. Whilst yes I agree we need to get a couple more pieces in, those who are saying this season is a wash are morons to be blunt. We will be fine.

Maybe he felt a twinge? He's behind everyone as well, as he was involved in Walsall's play off games...
