Can't wait to see how many 'survivors' from the promotion team are selected for the first few league games .. I reckon the answer will be not too many .. pity if so, BUT there you go, progress is inevitable
We’ve got to be objective and ruthless (didn’t NJ say something along those lines on the pitch after the match at Wembley). If we played the promotion team for 46 matches in the Championship we’d finish rock bottom, so there needs to be large scale changes to the starting XI.
I know that Nathan & Co have to be ruthless, just I am surprised at the number of new signings.
Right now I reckon just Jones, Ramsay and Gillesphey could be left over from  Wembley.
Even Coventry, Edwards, Docherty and Godden (less likely) might not make 'the cut'

Jones, Ramsay, Coventry and Edwards I think will all start. Gillesphey probably.
  • for me Ramsay, Jones, Gilly, Edwards, Coventry all start from last years team. The rest, who knows?

I anoint @MartinCAFC  the winner of this competition to predict how many of our Wembley heroes will have their hearts broken. His prize is a bottle of Macauley Gillesphey’s tears.

A lot of people saying Kelman didn’t play well in playoff final…he ran his arse off and gave us a few problems….a Jones type player
I Swear he was the one who hit the cracker and mannion pushed onto the crossbar ?!
Yes that was him…played up front on his own basically….a really good signing….wonder if he is eligible to play for the USA men’s team

Krusty said Charlie Kelman's dad is from Texas but I have always found Krusty a clown so not sure if it's kosher 🤔

Charlie has played 19 games for the USA U20's so custard pie in the face for me.😁

I believe that in the year (rather than entire season) of 2025, Kelman and Godden top the scoring charts in English football.

You can bet your life this will not be the case for the first half of this season.

The beauty of the stat lies in what has happened, not what might ;-)

  • If people think we paid a lot for 23 year old Kelman, Wrexham are about to spend 4 million on 32 year old Kieffer Moore, apparently.

Not that I wouldn't have taken more here, but still, value and all that.
Plus huge wages if you believe this.

Even if it’s exaggerated, given his age I expect Kieffer will be on a lot Moore than Kelman.

If that does turn out to be correct, Nixon has been more accurate this summer. Wonder if that’s his reporting improving or if he’s always had a higher Championship hit rate

    What about Moore...

Love it that Knibbs appears to have chosen us over Wrexham as well.
Has it been confirmed they were after him?

I missed the Supertramp bit and at first thought you meant 'It's raining men'.
Definitely sounded odd to that tune.
