The overriding point is that Pompey got this game postponed twice when they had injuries and now with a full squad are winning 2-0…

If Pompey are beating Ipswich, whats to say we won't beat Ipswich ourselves?
Few on here should try having some belief in the team they "supposedly" support

Because you can't win a game scoring 0-0 or 0-1+. Jones has no idea how to put together a team to "win from the off". I think he has risen beyond his station......

What's "supposedly' supporting about being to see how poor we are yet still continue to go and even buy season tickets for next season despite the fact that there's a reasonable chance it might be in League One. "Support" doesn't mean being unable to face facts. Facing facts and still supporting is real support
What... the biggest fact remains that with scores the way they are... We're still no closer to the relegation zone than before the night commenced... Is it that "fact" that you mean? - Yet we've still got comments of: "Ooo if only we played like a team who still sit a point behind us"

They are still missing quite a few players!

I can’t see Oxford getting 7 points over 4 games, and if we can’t get 2 out of these we deserve to go down.
Yeah Derby & Wrexham both absolutely have to win to have any chance of catching Hull so Oxford have it tough for the next couple. Hopefully we are at least 6 clear by the time they have to play Wednesday. We all know Millwall won't help us on the last day!

Fancy Oxford to win at Derby.

This game should get called off soon if it continues to rain like this
If it could be called off before for a waterlogged pitch (twice?) then it can do tonight too

Never say never of course but Derby can mount a late play off push so imagine they will be right up for it.

    Oxford won the corresponding fixture.

Also didn’t concede a goal at Cov or Boro.

They seem to do better away at the bigger teams.

I just find it tough not to get worried. Winning at Wednesday just wouldn't be the easy Charlton way to do things. At least Pompey Vs Leicester is the early KO Saturday.

Just noting we beat them 0-3 at Portman Road (and Gillespie + Leaburn got two of the goals)

Imagine we need to beat Oxford on the last day of the season to get second spot and stop you lot being relegated 😁

If Pompey win wouldn't it be better if they bury Leicester on Saturday that would be good for us... Assuming we win and Oxford lose... Thewould both be marooned.
I don’t know why Leicester keep getting brought up.  They’re 8 points behind us with 12 to play for.  We absolutely need them to get a result against Pompey if Pompey win tonight
No chance, we want teams killed off and out of the fight.

If they won at Portsmouth their tails are up going into their next game which they could win. If we draw at Sheff Weds and lose to Ipswich, suddenly that gap would be only 3 points and they have a better goal difference.

We want Oxford and Leicester to lose every game.

Last time our rivals KO'd before us, they all drew

You'll put the under 21s out and get tonked, we'll go down and you'll win the playoffs. It's the Charlton way  :D

The 'if we don't beat Wednesday we're down' brigade are quite funny. I know we should beat them, they're terrible and it will suck if we don't, but we have always struggled to beat the teams around us while getting wins against Ipswich and Boro and getting points off Coventry, Saints, Hull and Derby in the top 8. We're a weird team. After the Wendies game there's 3 more chances to get to 52 points which might even be more than we need anyway. Some very weak constitutions knocking about, there's a few people on here who I never want to see accusing any players of being spineless again given how quickly they roll over as soon as other teams score goals in games we're not even involved in!

Our position is becoming more and more simple - beat Sheffield Wednesday and we stay up, lose or draw and we very well might not.

Surely a club can not postpone a game. An official/weather/God can. Pompey got this game postponed twice? Really?

We don't always see eye to eye Mr. Manilow, but you are absolutely bang on the money here. Embarrassing reactions

If it helps us I'm fine with that.
It seems nobody wants the 2nd spot at the moment!

I’m still banking on Blackburn’s run-in. Can’t see them getting another point.

Didn't realise they only had 3 after this. Agreed. Maybe Leicester on the final day but might not even matter by then.

Blackburn are going to be the ones cacking their pants. They play Cov on Friday night. They will be sitting on 44 games played Saturday. Could easily be cut adrift.

Anything can happen regarding us beating Ipswich, but we haven't been very good at home have we?

So unless we turn that around and start playing with the desire of this Portsmouth performance, I suggest we won't.
