Southampton 3-0 Blackburn, puts them on the worst GD of the lot of us8

Maybe they could donate a couple to Ipswich...CafcSteve said:Saints 3-0!1 -
I am very glad we don't have to play Southampton again13

Went off in the 46th minute today.JustFloydRoad said:MarcusH26 said:
Wouldn't surprise me with their run in , I know they've got City in the FA Cup semi thrown in there but league wise it's Swansea,Bristol City, Ipswich and Preston as their run in.JustFloydRoad said:MillwallFan said:Imagine we need to beat Oxford on the last day of the season to get second spot and stop you lot being relegated 😁
Imagine Southampton coming from nowhere, and claim second spot 😁
Agent Bree on the case0 -
If Saints can beat Ipswich when they meet then I can see them nicking second spot.2

Ipswich dont play till Sunday, Southampton could be level on points with them come 5pm on SaturdayLargeAddick said:If Saints can beat Ipswich when they meet then I can see them nicking second spot.2 -
Cut adrift ?????cafc_se7 said:Blackburn are going to be the ones cacking their pants. They play Cov on Friday night. They will be sitting on 44 games played Saturday. Could easily be cut adrift.
They're a point below us
And 4 ahead of Oxford.0 -
Great. Terrific. 47 points after Middlesbro' win, back on March 11th. Nine point margin. 15 points up from next 5 games, after which, on just 49 points, and absolutely cacking. TWO POINTS FROM 15. Yet still in a job. Why? This is needless humiliation and dependency on other results. Too late for a Hodgsonesque saviour. Hope Charlton can look around for an English manager next season. Regards to the DVLA and Wrexham.17

These days I struggle to know what’s parody and what’s real on here.17

You know he means after 44 games played and just being obtuse for the sake of it. If they lose the Coventry. Blackburn are in trouble.golfaddick said:

Oxford have lost 1 in their last 6. Picking up 9 points.Laddick01 said:Oxford will do well to pick 5 points from their games I feel.
Still far more ropey than it should’ve been at this stage from where we have been.
We just need a win. 52 points should see us safe.1 -
BIG F-ING KENYAN will sort our shower of shit out0

I think Blackburn will go.BalladMan said:

Just when the Hammer (at work) said they are looking forward to playing you. I then reminded him that they are not out of the scrap yet and could be visiting us both. Imagine 😁

Fingers crossed. Blackburn and Leicester would put us in a great position before next season even starts. Pompey, Oxford, Lincoln + 1 other probably having a lower budget than us.The Red Robin said:

There's so many people doing little characters on here it's increasingly difficult to remember which posts to take at face value. Half of them aren't even committing to the bit the whole time which is odd. I find it weird enough the amount of time I spend on here just as me, I can't imagine being the people who are on here every day but sometimes they're a little troll character they made up, it's beyond my understandingUboat said:These days I struggle to know what’s parody and what’s real on here.2 -
Yes, but after 44 games they will still have 48 points. Leicester could have 47 & Oxford could have 50.BalladMan said:

How is that "cut adrift" ???

Even if Blackburn get a draw v Coventry on Friday night they'd still be below us having played 2 games more.4

For a team going for automatic promotion that performance from Ipswich was absolutely shocking.
Pompey showed how we need to approach the game against Ipswich next week.
Southampton took their foot off the gas in the second half, which allowed Blackburn to give it a go, but at least they did, Ipswich didn't.6 -

You told us Ipswich would beat Portsmouth a few pages back. Please don't tell us Derby will beat Oxford.sam3110 said:Imagine being in the trenches with some of you!Zum einen würden wir jetzt alle Deutsch sprechen!

Frustrating Portsmouth won, but it’s the Championship and these sort of results happen all the time. I wouldn’t write us off getting something at home to either Hull or Ipswich, just as we might not getting anything at Wednesday on the weekend.8

Yeah, need to look at fixtures and possible outcomes. Hopefully there may be a case that by 22nd April Ipswich may be looking at resting players for the playoffs. I don't know. What I do know is that NJ had every opportunity of avoiding this. His approach and attitude has been hopeless and defeatist. If Duchatelet had been * at birth, and Powell had been given a chance...... Greed has no place in football.ForeverAddickted said:

Best chance of a big win like that is via a textbook away smash and grab. At home - we are just not set up to create enough chances and score enough goals2 -

However, our two games in hand are Ipswich and Hull. On current form that looks like zero points for us, and they have Leicester and home on the final day which is much more winnable than Swansea away.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Even if Blackburn get a draw v Coventry on Friday night they'd still be below us having played 2 games more.
Pompey result is also massive - not only in terms of their points gain on us, but the manner of how they went about it. Exactly how we need to play over the next 2 games - they were physically dominant and we need to get back to that0 -
