If Saints can beat Ipswich when they meet then I can see them nicking second spot.
Ipswich dont play till Sunday, Southampton could be level on points with them come 5pm on Saturday
Yeah, need to look at fixtures and possible outcomes. Hopefully there may be a case that by 22nd April Ipswich may be looking at resting players for the playoffs. I don't know. What I do know is that NJ had every opportunity of avoiding this. His approach and attitude has been hopeless and defeatist. If Duchatelet had been * at birth, and Powell had been given a chance...... Greed has no place in football.
Honestly what the fuck are you on about.

Footage of you, old boy? You are indeed a handsome chap. Explain how you think there is no greed in football. How I love winding you up!

The 19/20 season has broken me and I have never recovered. I fear the worst but hope for the best.  Proper must not lose game Saturday.
    Must win?

I was in the must not lose camp but now I am wavering towards 3 points because I think we have it in us to totally crumble and repeat the class of 2020 if the pack close up any more

And remembers when football was a far better game to watch and enjoy. Keep supporting the "beautiful" game. Platini and Blatter must be your heroes.

Pompey result is also massive - not only in terms of their points gain on us, but the manner of how they went about it. Exactly how we need to play over the next 2 games - they were physically dominant and we need to get back to that . A QUOTE FROM ns9. Pompey beat Middlesbro' and go onward. Jones "beats" Middlesbro', and five games on?

    A draw vs Sheffield Wednesday
Leceister need 3 wins in 4.
Oxford need 2 wins in 4.
Blackburn need 1 win in 3.

That’s with us not picking up any points from Ipswich hull and Swansea and as tonight proved anyone is beatable in this league.

A draw is not the catastrophe people are making it out to be but it does make it a hell of a lot more nerve racking and no guarantee, for the older fanbases BP would prefer we get it done and dusted w a win

Compared to Portsmouth, we look so slow and disinterested. The other teams at the bottom are fighting for everything, we thought we were safe and so are taking it easy.

Yeah, too right. Why did NJ send them all off to the beach? Clueless. No idea. Credit and credibility shot away. Stay up, go down, rid of! No room for "sentiment", particularly with his attitude.
Which beach did he send them to and when do they get back?
    Wibble.

NJ better pull one of his uplifting but nerve testing 3 pointers out of his Welsh arse on Saturday.

So much good work done by such an average and limited Championship squad of players, surely cannot be squandered so lightly at this late juncture, can it?

Being for the benefit of Covered End Lad, Sam 3110, and Lord Romford, I thought I'd post this for you before signing off. Think the Greedmeister you must admire will not provide divine salvation. The "Eagles" are highlighted just to wind you up. You deserve it. Wake up and see the reality.

You know what... It's hard enough worrying about US and OUR results lately, without having to worry about what others are doing and what we can do sod all about anyway,...😟

Tonda Eckert is making Will Still look more and more shit with every passing week.

I feel a bit for Still. Eckert is using essentially his tactics, this kind of system takes a while to bed in, he was fired just before it clicked. I can guarantee that Southampton would have improved if Still had stayed, albeit maybe not to this extent
  • West Brom having Preston, Watford and Wednesday in their run in looks pretty straight forward.
Preston and Watford (like, say Bristol City) are teams you would love to have at this stage of the season, mid table nothing to play for etc. Just need to turn up with intensity and watch them roll over.

All the ‘experts’ have been creaming their pants over Ipswich all season and I just don’t get it. They have been average if compared to where they should be.

Worryingly, they also disregarded us in every way from being in scrap, insisting we are safe.

They probably would've improved but no guarantee it was going to click under him. They were 21st in the table when he got fired and he lost his last 3 games, then Eckert came in and straight away won his first 4.

Fancied Ipswich to struggle last night with a derby day hangover. Southampton could easily pinch 2nd with the form they're on.

No change from the weekend. Beat Wednesday this Saturday and we can just enjoy the run in and watch the chaos below us.

We absolutely will not lose to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. This will be the 9th and final game I miss this season.

The record in the previous 8:

    P8 W2 D6 L0

We only lose at games I'm at.

We've played both Preston & Watford and got a solitary point.

Imagine we need to beat Oxford on the last day of the season to get second spot and stop you lot being relegated 😁

Imagine Southampton coming from nowhere, and claim second spot 😁
There’s more chance of this happening than my hypothetical scenario. That’s why I used the word imagine

Just when the Hammer (at work) said they are looking forward to playing you. I then reminded him that they are not out of the scrap yet and could be visiting us both. Imagine 😁
I’d probably take that now to be honest. Wouldn’t be a bad season if it ended like ghat

The amount they've invested in that squad they should have walked it. Got to be an underachievement if they don't get autos and I wouldn't back them in the Playoffs

Always sad to see a troll get a bit of traction on a thread and then overreach and get themselves booted. The real challenge for them is being just annoying enough to generate some rage but then stepping back just before the mods have to decide enough is enough and show them the door. It's been said before but the current crop are a real far cry from some of the masters we've had on here over the years.
