Good start to the day. Think I'd prefer Portsmouth drawing but if we win today then I think realistically we can be breathing very easy compared to what it could have been

    Pompey staying up is good.

They said earlier in the broadcast that they're punching above their weight with a salary bill of 45% less than the average in the league or something like that, then quipped "but if you carry on paying league 1 wages, eventually you'll end up there"

They don't have the budget to spend big and will be right down there again next season, combine that with Lincoln coming up and maybe West Brom going down for the points deduction, and Oxford staying up, the lower end of the championship next season should be weaker than this one
  • Win today if oxford dont win Tuesday we're up?

Oxford and Leicester both losing is perfect.
GIves us a bit of breathing space.
Now go and beat the massives
  • Fair play to Portsmouth. 3 wins in the spin for a team in relegation zone is amazing ((5 unbeaten in total).

Double relegation will kill that club - what with everything else they have going on.

Not just that, but what a way to bounce back from losing 6-1 @ QPR

Yeah seen a lot of their fans really scared that relegation could be curtains for them

Coventry and Bolton esque for them
  • Portsmouth going on the kind of run I expected from Leicester, fair play to them.

I expected more from Oxford today - delighted they fell short!

Over to us & West Brom...

Derby was always going to be a tough game for Oxford. Derby are similar to the likes of Oxford, Pompey and us, but better, rather than being one of the more talented, but less hard working sides in this division.

No idea why you'd want a team (Pompey) going above us in the table.

    But you do you.

Points gap much more important than position. Today’s results make it much more likely we stay up, I don’t hugely care if that’s in 21st or 19th

because all we need to do is stay above 2 of the bottom 6 (excluding Chef Wendy) ?

    Because Pompey ain't going down.

The bigger the gap between us and Leicester the better.
