    Obviously we need a LWB, but I hope if we sign one they're not a pure defender who offers little going forward. As frustrating as TC is, the pace and width he offers helps us up the tempo and play better football.

    Echo the above. No point signing JRS unless we can somehow sign a LB, change our system and inject some creativity into the middle of the park.

    None of those things look likely.

    Might allow us to play Apter at RWB and TC up top with Dykes though

    Hope this doesn’t come across in any way, but have you seen any of his performances this season?

    Mbick’s game, especially at Colchester where is leads the line, is so much more than goals. And by the way, some of his goals have been fantastic. He’s been outstanding for them, shown real quality and ability to hold off and beat his man, hold up the ball and bring others into play.

    At times he’s looked like prime “cheat code” Aneke and I mean that in the most praise possible.

    At his age, he’s got potential to go and play in Premier League, and that’s why Brighton are interested.
    Aneke?! I thought Mbick was talented!?

    We could have had Bidwell, Purrington, Reach, Doughty and others on NYD without many problems. Why four games into January are we still without a LWB that we have been short of since September? 
    How do you know we could have had them? Doughty was never going to choose us over Wall for a start and Purrington really!

    I know the scouting bods love to look at XG.. but do any of them ever look at IQ?

    Something that is severely lacking with this bunch!

    This window we had to be sharp & get in players quickly. They’ve totally failed and to be without a left back is frankly amateurish. How do we expect to win games without players in their own positions? Not good enough! Now the whole world knows we are desperate for a left back so good luck with that!

    People like to poke fun at Golfie on here, but all the talk around me in the covered end tonight was disbelief at the fact we're 20 days into the window and haven't signed a Left Back yet.

    We had one almost done but the team in question pulled the plug .. so we have had to look elsewhere , we will get one there no panic in fact watching us play back 4 second half tonight do we need wing backs ?
