Junior Ligue is a great name!!
Wonder when he'll be ready for an Adult League
Wiki says he's a Forward, but TransferMarkt says he's a Left-Back, but has apparently played 69-games as a Striker and 17-games as a Left-Back, so... Yeah... Confused... Looks like the games he's played as an Attacker were for Zurich U21s, so wonder if he's converted to a Full-Back since making the jump to the first team
Would certainly be an attack minded Wing-Back down the Left you'd expect
Expect NJ to play him in midfield then...😀

Kasey Palmer looks to be joining Luton on loan from Hull...
Wouldnt say no to him coming back here in Midfield, unless he's riddled with injury problems?
    Absolutely injury ravaged.
    Absolutely perfect for us!
Would give us more creativity than we've currently got but he'd probably break down by mid Feb.

Why do people keep referring to the Millwall game as a free hit. No game is a free hit. Every game is worth the same three points. I really don’t get it.
same people that say someone is "in credit", unless they've somehow acquired us free (not 3) points I don't understand.
Feels like we’ve got more points from free hits than must wins!!!
    What about games in hand

That article puts a 3-5 million Swiss franc price tag on him.

That converts almost 1:1 with GBP - £2.8m to £4.7m.
No way would we pay that sort of money on a risky purchase like that, when we need someone who can settle in and play straight away.

He's he sort of signing the more established Championship clubs can make, as they can ease him into the first team.

I'm filing this away with the Bosnian striker rumour, our name just being used by agents because we have a hole there in our squad

Looks like we want a Loan with a view to a permanent. I'd still like a championship experienced LCB/LB option on top of this.

Because if we couldn't beat them in previous seasons when we had better teams, then there's not a chance in hell we're beating them Saturday.

Millwall should never, ever be classed as a free hit, irrespective of how embarrassing we are against them. Just for once I'd love us to actually turn up and kick them all over the pitch. Maybe my future great grandchildren will see this happen.

We were so close in the home fixture to getting that win until Ramsay was sent off for a second yellow, something that was very contentious at the time iirc, and Saturday will be a hard fought match, we will have to see how that goes...

so he's on a season long loan - they want to make it permanent - we want a fee but he's out of contract at the end of the season.

what am I missing here? - they aren't gonna pay for him as they've got him already, just cancel his contract and let him go

They might pay to reduce the risk of him becoming a free agent.

Players who are free agents will suddenly have more suitors than if a fee was required

I’m pretty sure Jes Rak Sakyi is in the directors box tonight…..

He’ll jump on the Derby team coach after watching this crap.

quite the opposite - he'll look at it and know he's exactly what we need

Mbick has 33 senior appearances, 1 goal against Cray Valley, 1 in the FA Cup for Colchester, 1 in the EFL Trophy and 6 in League 2. Hardly prolific.

i am not saying the potential isn’t there, but can we afford to wait and see? If we go down this year his value will plummet.

if Brighton are offering a deal around 5m, with a sell on and loan back I’d be of a mind to take it on the basis that the fee is invested in the team.
Hope this doesn’t come across in any way, but have you seen any of his performances this season?

Mbick’s game, especially at Colchester where is leads the line, is so much more than goals. And by the way, some of his goals have been fantastic. He’s been outstanding for them, shown real quality and ability to hold off and beat his man, hold up the ball and bring others into play.

At times he’s looked like prime “cheat code” Aneke and I mean that in the most praise possible.

At his age, he’s got potential to go and play in Premier League, and that’s why Brighton are interested.
I haven't seen any of that. If its true, we should be looking to bring him back maybe? That Brighton see it and we don't is not a good look, although we

Why is he a lwb now….

i mean seriously give over how do we need a player that doesn’t fit our system. Doesn’t play in our most need position.

If you’ve watched us the past 3 months you seriously can’t think we need him over a lb/lwb

If we can get JRS in then we 100% should. He’s streets ahead of the vast majority of our squad and every squad needs the best quality players they can get. That’s not to say that we don’t need a LB/LWB too.

As he's out of contract, we may have told Northampton to make it permanent now or we'll recall him and sell him elsewhere / use him ourselves. Bit of bluffing etc.

No game against them lot is a free hit.
  • People on here are obsessed with the LWB but we need a midfield that is good enough for this league , there’s no vision to light in the tackle .

Last i read was that Stoke and Celtic were interested but Palace wanted an obligation to buy for 8m inserted into any loan deal agreement, so there's no way we'll get him.

Midfield are partly having to cover the LWB issue though. We definitely need reinforcements in there, but the midfield will look better with a more balanced team

Back to Mbick, club will either sell or not. If its sell, colchester are stiffed so we should recall and give him minutes to drive up his price.

Probably true and it can't be a secret that we are short there. Wondering if the scouting apps, like Wyscout, have 'wants' from clubs or agents to act on wants, or is it just players available for clubs to go after?

    Looking at https://www.hudl.com/en_gb/products/wyscout

-seems it's a growing industry with video analysts worldwide.

TIA @Swisdom if any comment on state of scouting today and what CAFC actually use, if you feel able to comment?

Whoever comes in a LWB, it cannot be someone who needs to get up to speed or have their minutes managed.  It needs to be someone who can come in and play straight away

Not sure if it's a feature on Wyscout or not but lots of clubs use Transfer room to advertise what they're looking for and bedget
