Absolutely don’t want to lose Kayne, but having watched him this season I do think we’d struggle to say no to a significant offer.
He’s absolutely got the traits to be top-quality Championship footballer, but he is still adjusting to this level.That being said, a player with his profile (fast/strong/pretty good on the ball/defensively excellent) is very hard to replace, especially in this league.1 -
I'd be tempted to take anything getting above the £4m+ level. Is a very good player but right now we need to focus on the short-term and I'm sure we could find a replacement + 1 other for that amount of money.1

I don't think Ramsay will extend his contract.
I would be delighted if he did, but I think he has ambitions of a higher level, with his age and abilities, I suspect he will wait until the summer, where he won't be shy of options, and his agent will know that as well.
We would need to stay up to keep him I imagine, and even then, other clubs will line up with a bigger offer.
If the club manage to get him to extend in January then fair bloody play, I just can't see it.5 -

It's not realistic to expect ANY of our key players to extend their contracts at the moment, as the likes of Ramsay and Jones won't want to be playing L1 next season.
Indeed I doubt the club are even trying at the moment.4 -
They should be trying. And if the players back themselves then the club can let them have a release clause in the contract that activates on relegation, I assume Jones had a similar one for if we didn't go up at the end of last season. With respect to Lloyd Jones though, as he is my favourite and imo our most important player, his value isn't the same as Ramsay.fenaddick said:

I am annoyed that everyone knew we needed a LWB three months ago, or perhaps earlier when Edwards was injured. Is it too hard to put together a list and have someone on board at the beginning of January rather when the window slams shut.
That's potentially five league games and a prestigious cup match where we are likely to play an inverted winger at LWB who can't cross with his left foot towards our 6'6" centre forward.
Without seeing the list I'd rather our 3rd choice now, rather than our 1st choice on 31st.
Or FFS play 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 to suit the players we have in the building.1 -

Piece of piss isnt it... Finding a club who are happy to let us have a competent Left Wing-Back this early in the January Transfer Window, who isn't some inexperienced kid... Unlike others who speculate here and elsewhere about transfers liek a dodgy medium, I deal only in facts. Remember Knibbs? I broke it first that he was a reading player, the deal was on and off and then on again merely moments within the club announcing it. Anyway all my plaudits aside let me get in to some news -
We are currently in discussion(s) with a number of players, at least one but also possibly a few more than one. When I am in a position to name these players you will be shocked by the quality (good or bad) of these targets, others may be content as well football is all about opinions (right or wrong) after all. These player(s) could be in imminently at a minimum but will be signed by 1st Feb at a maximum. So you can all sleep easy now and no doubt my followers i will share more with my flock as and when I can. I accept your thanks for your devotion.4 -
