Masterclass from TC today in hiding and doing nothing. Why he stayed on confuses more than why he started.

Definitely something off with him at the moment.

Earlier in the season, even if he was not a threat he was still putting in a defensive shift.

Today he spent a lot of time lazily drifting back from offside positions and getting dispossessed.

There is a player in there, but he’s certainly well
    off it at the moment.

    'But he runs, he runs!'

As we watch another game with zero end product.

Annoyed with him today. Was crowded out on the left but when we were 1-0 down should probably have just started trying to do it himself. The one time he did carve out some space and catch a shot well it was blocked His touch was poor today and he looked very nervous, probably wouldn't be a bad thing to let Kelman and Dykes have a little run together and give TC some minutes off the bench.

As I said on the match thread, TC flatters to deceive. Don't know whether it is a lack of confidence or just a lack of ability but he always seems behind the curve in terms of what he's looking to do with the ball rather than ahead of it.

Towards the end of the game today it summed TC up for me he had the ball at his feet wide and instead of trying to take the player on he passed the ball 2 yards to Clark who had 2 men in front of him. Wanted to take no responsibility to make something happen or influence the game

He really doesn't help himself, even if he is playing bad he acts like he couldn't care less

He just looks totally devoid of confidence. With his lack of end product he needs to be up for it and tearing it up every game, he certainly didn’t do that today

Have to agree that he was poor today. Should have been subbed off for Fullah earlier.

Still get excited when he gets the ball, but such a disappointment the majority of the time. Wrong choices and reacting rather than anticipating. Something will click soon surely.

Absolutely fucking useless as per usual. It’s no wonder we have no attacking threat when he’s on.

People moan about Kelman but his minutes to goals ratio is pretty good now and he offers more in the build up.

TCs is abysmal and he cannot be a starter next season if we want to progress

Been saying it all season and he’s only got worse as it’s gone on not better…

There was a moment today where there was a passage of play 5 yards away from him on the edge of the oxford box and he was stood motionless actually just watching the play, the ball looked like it might break to him and he took a couple of steps backwards to get out of the way.

Even after that performance today, you will have people on here saying that you dont understand football if you criticise him.

It’s verging on cruelty to the lad if NJ keeps starting him. Take him out and spend the next few months to see if the coaches can develop the player a lot of people think is there. Persistently putting him in the firing line will do more damage than good

This is where he frustrates me most and why I call him lazy. Someone above says he reacts (or doesnt most of the time) rather than anticipates and that's the truth. He is either rooted to the spot or walking while watching the ball pop about.

Can you point them out? Because most people who normally defend him have been criticising him

I have to admit I think he's a very poor player for this level of football.
We definitely needan upgrade for next season.

I'm starting to feel sorry for the lad. He seems to be shit scared of receiving the ball, because he doesn't know what to do with it, and then invariably ends up making the wrong decision.

Hence, he plays it backwards so often.

He needs either a period on the bench or a lone back to League One where he may regain his confidence.
NJ needs to nurture him very carefully now that we are almost safe.

I've given him the benefit of the doubt alot this season as he is young and there are elements of his game at times that give us something different and an out ball on the wing but today he was absolutely shocking and no idea how he stayed on but maybe without dykes it was a lack of options.

Not sure how others feel, but for me, I think his best performances have generally been when he's off the bench for the last half hour or so.

Pretty sure that even Leaburn (his mate?) got the pox with him today near the end of the first half.

Not sure it’s that simple. He was great off the bench at Ipswich and against Stoke but no real impact against Leicester and QPR from memory. He was good first half away to Millwall and good against Derby at home but poor from the start today. Sometimes it’s about who else is in the team, sometimes it’s the defence he plays against, sometimes it’s a confidence thing
