Comms have just confirmed that whoever had the emergency has been carried out on a stretcher

So imagine thats what the clapping was for
Yeah it was, just below me. Fingers crossed he’s ok

It underlines the absolute need for EVERYONE to know CPR.
    Its an absolute lifesaver.
And get Defib trained. There is a growing campaign to get Defibs as common as fire extinguishers - you are much more likely to need one. A member of the public knowing CPR and how to use a Defib saves lives.

It's weird how you can be so worried about someone you've never met. Hope he'll be OK.
  • Nice from Dave Lockwood to request a round of applause for the medical staff

Hoping that the announcement and clapping means that the person is ok. Couldn't hear it properly.

Yep defibs have come a long way. Very easy to use.
Pretty sure British Heart Foundation has a tutorial for both on their website. Get on it everyone 🙏🏻

When I first moved to Spain I was baffled by, and had to ask the missus, what all the defibrillator looking things were in public places.

    Defibrillators.

Blew my mind, still does tbh.

The instructions on a defibrillator are very easy to understand, so nobody should be afraid to use one.

Random question. If this were to be delayed into the game finishing after 3pm would the tv corverage have to be pulled?

Is it likely to get called off? Not sure what’s happening now

Was just wondering the same... Guess there is a big enough buffer at the moment, so that shouldn't be a concern

But if it did... I imagine it would... Because I know there have been El Classico games which have been due to KO before the TV Blackout ends, and those games have been joined in progress on Sky Sports in the past.

I doubt it. Even then players have had medical emergencies, games have gone on!

    Dont think so.

I've heard that they are waiting on the stadium safety officer to give the nod to restart.

Agreed. Anyone can do it but watching a video on them will make it easier and you more confident in what you're doing.

For those of us who've just got the crowd noise on Sky, any chance of a summary?
