Yeah he had a good half until then but that goal is more on Kaminski than TC imo

As was obvious, we started with the wrong lineup, a back four and a narrow midfield. Boro ran riot down our wings and only Kaminsky kept us in the game. After 25 minutes NJ changed to wingbacks and immediately Carey gave the ball away and they scored. We were pressing for an equaliser and they scored from a breakaway.
Not much to be optimistic about second half. Sit back and keep the score down or press and lose by 4.

Campbell needs out of this squad. Pathetic bottle job
He’s not offering enough, but making us slower will only put more pressure on our defence.
Sacrifice Knibbs and put Roussillion on at HT, get some proper balance back in the Defence

He may not have had a world-beating half but that's a tad harsh.

This should be Campbell’s last start for some time. He needs to know that his place isn’t guaranteed. I’ve kept quiet for a while now but that attempt (or lack of) to make a tackle was so half hearted, and you just knew it would end in a Middlesbrough goal at the other end.
Should at least be his last as a number 10/second forward. He’s a winger. So unless we’re playing a 4-4-2/4-3-3 variation he shouldn’t start.

Campbell shit himself and pulled out of that. Inexcusable.

This is becoming a tailspin. By the time we start playing the teams around us our confidence will be shot and those games are going to be a massive struggle.

it is painful watching at the moment. Creating nothing, look like conceding every time a team gets in our half and the midfield is utterly non existent.

I get we have injuries, but there is absolutely no excuse for how passive we have become in the last few weeks. The whole team look dead on their feet.

Just carved us open after TC seemed to miss out on a 50/50  ball.
Didn't miss out, he bottled it. Big difference.

Why have I never heard of any of the schools the players visit?! Reckon they're making it all up

Completely outclassed for 45 bit at least at 1-0 you have a punchers chance of pressure in 2nd half. Thats no gone.

    Absolutely woeful.

The gap between our defence and midfield when they break is ridiculous.
  • Campbell simply shouldn't be playing at Left Wing-Back... At least with Ramsay at Left-Back we had some proper defensive cover alongside Gillesphey, but seeing Jones has agreed with the calls to go to a back five on here, we've made our left more vulnerable.

Equally for all Campbell's faults with that second goal, his burst of pace, and cross to win a corner is one of the few chances created.

Get Olaofe, Anderson, Fullah and Roussillon on and hope a bit more pace makes a difference.

We’ve been slowly creeping towards the Championship version of the bad version of NJs grindball we were playing before we turned things around last season.

We look a long way off Championship standard as things stand.

Campbell continues to underperform and yet Jones seems determined to start with him regardless. I just don't get. We might as well play with a steak pie in the No.7 shirt. At least it would confuse the defence. Campbell doesn't.

Our midfielders are constantly getting caught wrong side of their man. But the failings are all over the pitch. We looked like we were just waiting for them to score.

Tough watch at the minute but have to keep the faith. Won’t have a run of games harder than this this season.

    We’re 18th and 21st is still a good season.
  • 28% possession at home about says it all? Totally outclassed!
  • How can we be starting 7 players from a League One Squad, that we knew was nowhere near good enough for this level, and expect anything apart from a spanking.

    This is so like 19/20.

Aug '26 we welcome League 1 again.
Kelman and Olaofe up front next season will be a cheat code in League one
  • People cannot defend TC anymore. He is piss poor and a bottle job. Always has been. Bottled it for the 2nd goal

How long is Jones gonna play 3-5-2? It don’t work in this league!!! Most of the top teams just overrun us. We’ve been found out!!

We've lost four in a row and are playing a team with heaps of quality and pace through the middle, and we start Luke Berry? What is the point.
Losing games, Jones reverts to what he knows.

A few of our subs need to drag him kicking and screaming into finding a new way to play, as Small and TC did last season.

We played 4-4-2 for 30mins and kept it at 0-0 because Ramsay was dealing with Whittaker

We played Campbell at the back for 15mins and its 0-2...

The fact we have to praise a wing run with a bit of pace leading to a blocked cross shows how poor we really have been.

If Campbell truly is the only player capable of something like that in our squad we're getting relegated.

Just look so far off the standard needed for this level. Boro are toying with us and this could end up anything they want.

Urgently need some midfield quality in January and NJ to actually use the likes of Apter.

Those among us that keep saying TC & Leaburn are good enough need a proper re think. How many games do we give them ? They offer absolutely nothing ! TC totally bottled that challenge in their box ! Game has gone make wholesale changes NJ
  • Amari Bell feels like such a massive miss.

We are in a shocking run of form and look clueless at the moment. But we did at this point last year as well.

No point in panicking yet as we’ve had a tough run of fixtures to coincide with this.

The fact that Luke f**king Berry is starting championship games is a joke, has the same pace as Joe Ledley

There was no need to boo the team. They have worked hard and looked more threatening than of late. We have to accept most are league 1 players and are some playing out of position because of an injury crises. But it does mean we are in a relegation battle.
