    Do think he would’ve been a good target for us at that price. Quality left footed defenders are a rare commodity and at that price, he could’ve developed quickly behind a healthy Josh Edwards.
    Finley Munroe played for Boro’s U21 side against Ipswich earlier today. Other young players like Nypan and Hamilton also featured as they beat Ipswich U21s 6-1. Munroe scored twice from left back.

    Wonder how he feels about swapping Villa U21s and first team football at Swindon for Middlesbrough U21s.

    Well they played Friday night so he didn't register in time for that game. Will be interesting to see if he makes the squad for their next game

    Seems weird with the form Makama is in and they spent the same on Kvistgaarden in the summer. Perhaps they are actually going to let Sargent go in the end after he refused to play last weekend.

    Was very impressed with him. Had seen a bit of him in MLS where he looked incredibly raw with poor decision making but he caused all kinds of problems last night. That £8m they paid is going to look like a snip.

    That’s just absurd. For a guy that’s scored 4 in 18 in the notoriously volatile Ligue 1.

    Given up trying to work out their ceiling as they seem to keep pulling more and more money out of nowhere. They’ll go up and some point and sign someone mental like an aging Luis Diaz or something

    I just look at it and then listen to Gavin Carter last night talking about how we want to do things sustainably and it feels like a completely different league for a lot of these clubs and I wonder how we ever manage to compete unless we get a golden era of Academy grads.

    Cant wait to read all the Reddit DisYank fans tell me how they've only really spent 2 quid because its net spend and they have to splash the cash anyway because they still have players from non league, its normal ya know?
