Our original scorecard (and normal) top 5 in the match averaged 11.40. Our bottom 6 averaged 33.40. It's not difficult to see where we lost the game.
Still, we move on. Two games against the bottom two sides and if we can't beat them then we don't deserve to go up.5 -

I have some very sad news to report. The Committee sat straight after today's game and after much soul searching came to the extremely difficult decision that it is time for us and Fanny to part ways. Regrettably, Fanny's power to influence the weather has clearly not been up to scratch.
There will always be a place in our hearts (and certain other parts of our anatomy) for Fanny. We will also be delighted to still see her at matches (providing she buys a ticket and doesn't expect a freebie) and of course, we will, by way of a big thank you, be paying Fanny some compensation - enough sun tan oil to last 365 days plus a sombrero hat. It's the least we can do for someone who brings nothing but sunshine with her.
It is time now to move on and in doing so we have scoured the world for a suitable replacement. We've been looking for a party that brings with them a fine voice as well as that ability to dance, naturally. No I'm not talking about Travis ("Why Does It Always Rain On Me?") or CCR ("Have You Ever Seen The Rain?"). The person we've found has has worked in world renowned places such as Manchester and also the Amazon (in truth, it was the Amazon warehouse in Manchester). I'm sure that you will all make Mr Gene Kelly very welcome in his new role at the club but, in the meantime, here's a taster of what we can expect from him

Well this is a bit embarrassing. It turns out that the agents for Gene Kelly, Rainmakersrus, are a complete bunch of charalatans. We've now found out that Gene Kelly has been dead for 30 years.
This is another Darren Stevens moment for us. The office has been inundated with calls and messages requesting we re-instate Fanny. So, we are now happy to announce that we are going to offer Fanny a new contract on increased terms. Well a new brolly anyway.
So, what do you say, Fanny?
PS you can keep the sun tan oil and sombrero for the next two games as we do need to win those of course.

On a more sober note, Crystal Palace, have bought the HSBC ground in Beckenham thereby extending their training facilities. The HSBC ground is, I believe, the last of the Bank grounds to go in that area. For decades, away sides looked forward to playing on perfect decks with pristine outfields and the subsidised bar and meals after the game of course.
The team playing at HSBC changed their name in the last few years to New Beckenham as the connection to the bank had all but disappeared. A club with five Saturday, two Sunday and a midweek team plus a thriving junior section is now homeless.
Value and price springs to mind.0
