Parkinson well caught by Higgins off Roland-Jones for a useful 17.
    241/9.
Quinn has come out swinging so this shouldn’t last too long.

You only get them in the first innings. Job done though.

And now Ekansh has got Hollman nicking one into Benjamin’s waiting gloves. 103/3.

Parkinson makes a superb catch in the deep to remove Geddes. Dudgeon the bowler. Middlesex were building well, so that was an important wicket.
    171/4 needing 356.

I'm pretty nervous about the outcome of this match now.

Anyone else have similar concerns or is there optimism out there ?

We make it so much harder for ourselves with some very wayward bowling. Constantly giving away well over 4 runs and over. The prospects are sadly not looking great for Kent to stop Middlesex in their run chase.  Dudgeon constantly vey wayward.

The umpires draw the day to a close with the bad light depriving us of three overs. 186/4.
I think Kent will be glad of that. The bowlers were definitely looking jaded so they will look forward to starting again tomorrow, refreshed and reinvigorated.
Northants look favourites to get a result against Lancashire, so a win for Kent is vital.

I share your apprehension, but 356 in a fourth innings will be an exceptional chase. I still fancy our boys to do the job tomorrow, but it will take a bit more discipline than the bowlers showed this evening.
