I have a feeling this fella could become a fans favourite he puts himself about, works hard and plays for the team. Ideal Charlton player

Made some intelligent runs also, which I didn’t expect.
  • My understanding is we have brought him specifically to beat Millwall away.

He scores the winner against Millwall just slap a 3 year contract in front of him on the spot

I thought he did well and added some nouse and physicality on Saturday - the assist was very good - if he gets the winner Saturday I’ll have ‘I love dykes’ , tattooed somewhere

Is that the quickest a Charlton career has ever produced a goal involvement?
What about Danny Mills goal in his 1st game against (I cant remember who) in the run in to promotion in 1998.

I thought that NJ deliberately put out a tall and intimidating side out today. If Dykes is the marker for judging everyone's height and weight, I must be due a trip to Specsavers as he looks taller than 5' 8'' and heavier than 9st 4lb to me!!!

Has started pretty well for a player with limited assists and goals before arriving. Long may it continue
  • Really like what I’ve seen of Dykes so far, he’s definitely more than just a big ma up front. Hope we sign him on after this season

Bloody brilliant first half from Dykes compared to what we normally see.

Get him on a new contract if we stay up (I think we will).

And get it done early so he doesn’t try to use the World Cup as a shop window

Great competition for Leaburn and an upgrade on Olaofe, although a very different type of striker.

Should have scored with that double chance 2nd half

I like him. Suits our play style perfectly. He's blood and thunder, but also pretty smart on the ball.

Watching the replay first volley is a snapshot not like he had time to pick out a corner with the rebound Dunne makes a great tackle makes it impossible for dykes to get the angle to put it in

Perfect for how we play. Big fan. Wins most headers and can play a bit, too.

Played well, and his goalline clearance saved a goal.

Probably our first choice striker at the moment

Do we get a payment for him going to the World Cup?
Or only if he signs an extension?
