Saw him after the game waiting outside with his family, congratulated him on a good game. He responded with a "Thanks mate" I like him,get him signed up to a longer deal🤞
    Pretty sure it will happen.
If NJ could design a striker from scratch to fit his system of play, it would be Lyndon Dykes.

Good goaline clearance but I wouldnt play him and leaburn together and I prefer Leaburn.

I agree, get him signed up. He will never be that prolific; however, I reckon his goal return will be a lot better than his stats suggest. Birmingham must have some bloody good strikers to be prepared to let him go.

I thought at the time the Brum fans were really positive about him on socials when he left (despite the goal return) and you can see why.

Genuine Championship standard footballer which we have only so many of.

    Dont like him
  • A bustling performance but he should have scored really? He saved a goal, that's for sure.

They were absolutely fantastic together against Leicester but it didn’t work the first time NJ tried it. It’s a combo that will work in some games and not others, that’s the point of having a squad
  • Far better than I expected - puts in a real shift.

Shame he likely wants guaranteed football otherwise I’d look at giving him another contract at present. Would be another nice battering ram alternative to Leaburn and Mbick next year.

Alternatively, how great would it be to rotate all three? Reduces injury risk and slowly introduces Mbick to the division (if he’s still around)

Think calling him just a battering ram is doing him a little bit of a disservice, which in truth I find myself surprised to say.

I thought his goal against Leicester showed he was more than just a 'battering ram'...

He has had a direct involvement in getting our last 7 points.
    One assist
    One goal
    One clearance off the line.

You can add another assist to that after tonight. Having his experience and muscle up front has been a godsend, one of a few signings that might just have saved the season entirely.

  • I think he's been excellent, another quality signing from Jones.

Think they should name a ferry after him
  • He’s so much more mobile than I ever thought he would be.

Just thought he was a big niggly honey monster, but he covers so much ground, and is proving to be valuable at both ends of the pitch.

Might help that he wants in that Scotland national side. But I couldn’t care less if so. Hes doing the job for us currently.

Sign him up for next season
    Absolutely love him
And it’d be nice to see a Scotland & Charlton World Cup graphic when he scores for the jocks in the summer

Absolutely sign him up. We'll struggle to find better at what he does.

That was a huge performance. A great shift, bravery, and some technical ability.

    Impressed so far.

Like him a lot, does exactly what I expected of him. Won't score bucketloads but an excellent foil for the other striker. Works really hard and did some great defensive work again. Keeps it up I'd definitely give him another year.

He’s got one, the same song we used to use for Alfie May

I’m feeling feelings for him that I don’t normally feel for Charlton strikers. Absolute workhorse

Needs to be ditched in favour of something much simpler. Never heard a worse terrace song / chant.
