Despite the performance / relative difference in the quality we were in with a slight chance for most of the game.On that basis the two late goals feel worse. And will in the record books look worse still. The penalty was harsh given other match decisions. But the team choice was the root cause. Anderson and Ramsay the main culprits.Clarke gives some hope. Godden back too.But I’m straw clutching.4

What excuse will NJ give……he will probably say we were “in it” for 80 mins.
i an losing patience with him, but no point in a sacking now.3 -
Jones is on borrowed time. Surely.
He's completely lost the plot. Starting line ups seem to be completely random now.
Starting Anderson madness.
And his substitution of Godden for R-C at the end madness. Just opened us up even more and turned a defeat into a rout.
I bet Greg Docherty is having a good laugh at the moment.

Disgraceful. Can we just not field a team against Millwall going forward and just send them the 3 points. It's written in our DNA that we bottle it against them.0

Shopping in the Pound Shop, it's been a crap window. Dykes is a League One striker.SELR_addicks said:I know emotions will be running high.
But this is a wider issue than just this game.
We have 9 points from the last 14 or so games. 3 of those against a 9-man team (even if people tried to claim it was a difficult game?)
We are the worst attacking side in the league bar maybe Sheffield Wednesday. We look utterly clueless past the half-way line and have been like this for 3 months.
In January we've bought a lump up front, a half-fit LB, a replacement RB and no midfielders to improve chance creation.1 -
The owners have let Jones and the fans down.Signings either walking wounded or league one standard at best.10
-
Toothless, gutless, spineless, pointless, the lot of them.1
-
We need them out of the league so we might actually have a chance at an enjoyable season.6

If we’re measuring our team by our most skillful player (TC) then it tells you all you need to know. Nowhere near good enough. Huge gulf in quality with a lopsided squad.
You wonder if Rodwell just cosies up to the Americans doing his usual PR bullshit because they surely can’t know that we badly need proper class in this team - and the uncomfortable truth of that is spending money.
But the biggest take home from today was watching Doughty and realising just how damaging the last ten years of awful owners have been.
They let the club rot, flogging talent and allowing us to slide backwards when everyone else was consolidating in a time of huge riches in the game. 7 teams will have parachute payments in the Championship next season.
We’ve fallen so far behind I wonder if it’s too big a mountain to climb now.

We are absolutely clueless and tbh that is a sackable offense that result. I don't see how we come back from this and the board should really be questioning Jones' decision making atm.
Look like conceding every time teams attack and we are powderpuff going forward.
Going down.12 -

Utterly hopeless - embarrassing to watch. NJ hasn't got a clue what to do.
Can't see us staying up.2 -
I’ll try to post properly later but giving up like that is inexcusable. Goal difference could matter. It did last time. That has to be the end of Jones. And some of these players. It’s in danger of becoming toxic.DamoNorthStand said:Disgrace.
They didn’t even try.2 -
That Campbell started and finished that game, playing most of it as a winger, and that Apter remained on the bench throughout, is fucking ridiculous.25

I used to dread playing Millwall but now I love it. We're always going to lose so may as well make some money in the process. It’s like an infinity money cheat code.
Time to reframe this fixture from 'Oh, sh*t, 6 points lost' to 'Oh, great, I'll make a few bob that weekend then'.0 -
Why don’t we appoint a manager who doesn’t wave his arms around?3
-
Did we win a second ball that whole game. Midfield was just so weak…. As soon as TC went to left back is was game over6
-
No heart…..no tactics…no skill…nothing…...embarrassing…. One of the most spineless performances ever from a Charlton side3
-
League 1 team thrashed (again) by play-off contenders, while passing it around their own half for 90 minutes.Embarrassing2
-
Some terrible performances there, but my god Ramsay was shit. He looks League 2 since coming back into the team

Awful I don't understand the line ups or tactics in question. Game was crying out for Apter to come on the right side. TC on the left football doesn't have to be complicated. First time I'm questioning Jones as I think there's more to get from this group than what we're showing7
-
Complete lack of desire from the players, we can pin it on the manager but the players need to turn up. Campbell seemed to be the only one trying for the first hour.3
-
Chequebook is going to have to come out if we don't want to be away at Peterborough next season. Gutless , spineless, zero creativity. Bored of Jones's style of play.
BIG week-10 days left in the window , LCB , CM needed badly and not just sticking plaster loans.7 -
NO MORE UNFIT LOAN PLAYERS.
SPEND SOME FUCKING MONEY.
THIS SQUAD WILL NOT STAY UP.
Is that clear enough ladies & gentlemen? It really is that simple.28 -
We've been poor for weeks against other seemingly poor sides. Today we met a really good side and Millwall never really got out of 2nd gear. Some luck was there with the pen however they had wave after wave of attacks at will. We had no way of getting out of our third.
We weren't going to get a point today, but is is the nature of defeats that matters. The goal for the pen says it all really. We don't compete with enough fight.
I'm not sure there is ONE team other than Wednesday worse than us. Get your money on us going down because it is a banker.1 -
Also v poor from the full backs as I only remember once when the cross was blocked- - Clark I think. If you cant stop crosses then any team would be in trouble.
Not too down about it because I've seen Charlton play Millwall off the park many times and still lose. Its what happens.1 -
I'll take Rowett if we're relegated but we have to get the CB and CM either way.Callumcafc said:Bizarre that we were still in the game at 1-0 on 80 minutes. It should’ve been out of sight before then.It would be upsetting if it wasn’t so inevitable.
Focus has to be on staying up however we can.
The talk is of changing the manager - the only viable alternative to Jones right now is Gary Rowett. Or spending some money on a centre back and a midfielder.0 -
Jones taken us as far as we can go….needs changing after that12
-
And I'm not even having this bollocks that Chambers was supposedly our "first choice" to sign. No way.10
