That was awful, especially the second half. Put it down to Nathan Jones. First half wasn’t amazing, but we looked ok going forwards. The half time sub should have been Coventry on for Anderson. Instead we brought on Fullah and TC, our main attacking outlet, got shuffled back to wing back - a position we know he can’t play and leaves us vulnerable. The next 45 mins were woeful and whilst the timing of their goals might seem harsh the score wasn’t really.16

Can we tempt Neil Warnock out of retirement.........................Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze0

We were half decent 1st half, their first was offside and Dykes was never a handball would have been 0-1. It’s the tactics and changes 2nd half that cost us which comes down to the manager.8

Really want to know what NJs issue is with Apter. Surely a journalist could ask..10

I used to dread playing Millwall but now I love it. We're always going to lose so may as well make some money in the process. It’s like an infinity money cheat code.
Time to reframe this fixture from 'Oh, sh*t, 6 points lost' to 'Oh, great, I'll make a few bob that weekend then'.
I said 3-0, and i suspect he will win a few hundred quid.0 -
Why nullify our best player, Campbell, at half time?
Shit set up, shit midfield and no left side. You get what you deserve.16 -
You might have a point, but the bigger point, imo, is that with it being a derby, the players out there today weren’t up for it, regardless of ability. It was like watching a side up the park, ffs.kentred2 said:The owners have let Jones and the fans down.Signings either walking wounded or league one standard at best.

Too many players in our team that even when fit should be nowhere near the championship.12

Agreed. But they never ask anything as cutting edge as that.Karim_myBagheri said:Really want to know what NJs issue is with Apter. Surely a journalist could ask..1 -

Gotta say Dykes should have gone over when he cheated the ball down it was already going to be a foul instead the ref magics up a handball from dykes. Even the sky commentators were perplexed.4

Gutless
weak
disorganised
powder puff
Prefer to fall down if challenged in the tackle
pussy of a performance
fucking embarrassed with that.4 -
As a Manager, how can you put Burke up against Azeez?7
-
I was trying to remain positive but that was a fucking disgrace. Gutless, clueless and as disjointed as I’ve ever seen. That’ll take some getting over. Jones is still in credit as far as I’m concerned but if we have any desire to stay in this league it’s time to go.6

Think it’s a harsh result we were in that for long periods .. first goal clear offside , our goal perfectly good goal and suddenly we got one goal lead to defend … but Jones got it wrong from the start and got it wrong at HT .. …. Azeez the difference Millwall got him we got Campbell that’s the difference when you have someone who can create and cross the ball … we got three home games now he got to get it right no more fav like Campbell and Anderson .. time for Apter time for Kelman and Godden up top .. time to change the system .All you want is the ref to make the right decsions today if we had VAR. we would have been leading 0-1 heading into last 10 mins different game … Coventry at home Pompey away poor decsions by the ref cost us but they get away with it12

I'm reluctant to be over critical of NJ after what he has done, but the team looks completely lost at the moment and that performance was unacceptable. Our chances of staying up are probably 50/50 at best now so i wouldn't be that surprised to see a change.1
-
We sign a player at left back who hasn't played for a year and looks like he needs a few good dinners to fill out.
He lasts 45 minutes.
Sums up why we put in such an abject performance.

The one frustration is that Millwall should never have gone 1-0 up, and we should have gone 1-0 up given how the wrong goal got disallowed - Of course it doesn't mean that things would have turned out exactly the same way throughout the course of the game. But the early goal gave them something to protect, when it should have been ruled out, yes we got lucky with their lack of finishing, but like Sheffield United's lack of discipline... that aint our problemWe then get the perfectly good goal chalked off, and would have potentially given us something to protectSwings and roundaboutsDoesn't deflect from the performance as a whole... Millwall did deserve it... At least having a proper Left-Back for 45mins meant that Campbell actually looked a proper threat going forwards, hopefully that'll now resonate with our home games, as thats where survival will always come from.11

Jones will need to be careful what he says post-match13

Yes, because Apter would have made all the difference, maybe marking Azeez?PeanutsMolloy said:That Campbell started and finished that game, playing most of it as a winger, and that Apter remained on the bench throughout, is fucking ridiculous.4 -
Disagree that the changes cost us, the players that started and stayed on (TC aside) saw decisions weren't going our way and gave up. JRC kept giving up after every pass, or time he was tackled. The frustration was clear but rather than battle, we just seemed to go into hiding.TD_Addick said:We were half decent 1st half, their first was offside and Dykes was never a handball would have been 0-1. Said pre match that this team looked weak. One poster disagreed and said we will keep it tight. Wonder what they will have to say to me after this.1

The way we made our subs and the timing of them seemed desperate and clueless, which was worrying.Defence were all over the place.TC our only threat. On to the next one0

We did somehow keep it tight for 80 mins then we gaped wider than Bonnie BlueChippycafc said:Said pre match that this team looked weak. One poster disagreed and said we will keep it tight. Wonder what they will have to say to me after this.9 -
To be honest the 6-0 at Hull was pretty awful. That season when we had the chants "We're the Charlton, the mighty Charlton, we never win away" and "We've had a shot"ct_addick said:No heart…..no tactics…no skill…nothing…...embarrassing…. One of the most spineless performances ever from a Charlton side1 -
The loss was inevitable but we offered little or nothing.
Scapegoat Campbell probably the only one who can hold his head up.

Out competed every position.
Dont quite know where we go from here.1 -
We're easily one of the worst 3 teams in the league and if it wasn't for some very lucky results and fortunate scheduling quirks we'd already be nailed on for relegation. I'm not sure if anyone can turn this around but I am sure Jones won't keep us up if he continues to set us up the same way and keeps doubling down on his awful one dimensional tactics.5

Whilst we have players who are just not good enough for this level, and the start to the season masked reality for a while. NJ has used up most of his credit with me now. You often see average managers who think they are geniuses and can see things that nobody else can when it comes to playing players out of position or against type. Unfortunately Jones is one of them and that has added to our problems over recent months but he's too arrogant to admit it even to himself.7
